The Crimson Tide took to the practice field for the first time as a complete unit Saturday, with younger players joining their older compadres.
A rumor began circulating on the internet (imagine that) involving an injury to Bama linebacker Trey DePriest, but per sources the rumor didn’t hold water. Of course Alabama head coach Nick Saban didn’t speak to the media, and no statement of any kind was issued by the University. DePriest looks to be a steady contributor in the middle of the Tide defense this season.
Several recruits were seen at practice for today’s session. For more on day two of practice, here’s a video synopsis, courtesy of TiderInsider.com and WVUA.

Question: If you’re a UCheaT fan, how do you know who your blood kin are? Answer: Go to a UCheaT football game and you’ll find 75,000 of them – all dressed in Puke Orange. On another note, somebody needs to keep an Ambulance on standby at the game; cause when Kiffin’s offense lays 75 on UCheaT, Indiana Queer may not make it to the hospital.
I laughed at these by their original author-Jeff Foxworthy. I see you bought his joke book and you can type. Congratulations on being an unoriginal idiot.
18 . And when you obsess over Bama .
My favorite is You might be a redneck if you name your son Dale Junior and your name aint Dale
It’s great to have actual football to talk about. I’m not too worried about West Virginia, but I hope the Tide players aren’t taking them lightly The Mountaineers are coming off a 4-8 season with chip on their shoulders.http://www.post-

That was original.
Not sure what sources you use, but 99.1 FM just reported that TD is in a black, no contact jersey, and CNS has not said what is the extent of his injury. Oops, another wrong post on an article here.
@Elite Tiger
It’s a good thing you obsess enough to keep us updated, Little Brother. You’re talking about an injury more than 3 days after it happened then rushing back here and citing it as lible? Unreal. It’s allegedly a knee injury from the practice the day this article was originally posted.
Meanwhile, Alabama’s three suspended players are still suspended. That means they’re not at practice. Because they’re suspended. I’m not sure what “suspended” means in Auburn, but it must mean something completely different since Nick Marshall has yet to miss, well, anything. But thanks for the injury update. Since you follow Alabama football so closely, if you want to write all the injury updates after each practice, send a message to ITK.
In the article it says it was a rumor, but no truth to it. So if it was a lie then, it is a lie now. As Sgt. Friday used to say “just the facts.” That is a foreign concept to this site, and if the truth was presented here, we wouldn’t need to correct it for you. I try to stay to the facts, instead of blah, blah, blah.
So if I wrote on Saturday I’m 55 years old but yesterday was my birthday that makes me a liar?
Look, he wasn’t wearing a knee brace Saturday. Was he? You seem to know everything. But no.
Yesterday he practiced in a black no-contact jersey. Tomorrow is the first day of full-contact for anyone, but if the point here is whether or not he is injured now versus being high and mighty about the facts literally not being the same when the article was written, talk about a slippery slope. Otherwise don’t read the articles from years ago discussing AJ McCarron being Alabama’s next starting QB. That “fact” would be wrong because AJ won’t be Alabama’s starting QB this year. Fun.
Did you know I lived literally right across the street from the field they practice in when I was in school? I ate way too much Jacks.
You don’t try to stay to the facts———you try to follow everything Alabama does, but the facts aren’t the #1 priority over knowing everything about Alabama so you can argue semantics. You’re the weirdest Alabama fan ever.
Oh, wait…
Seriously though, write to ITK about a daily injury report segment for us. It would be useful and you would just be reporting the facts like you do. Fun.
“A rumor began circulating on the Internet (imagine that) involving an injury to Bama linebacker Trey Depriest, but per sources the rumor didn’t hold water.” That was the quote from the article, a quote which days later is found to be false. Now when most people make a statement that is found to be false, they correct it. That never happens here, which was my point. His sources could be wrong, or they were told wrong. I never alleged libel, nor would I ever do so. Things change rapidly in major college athletics, and if ITK would admit when he is wrong(like the SEC admitting they missed the call in The IB), none of us would feel we need to set the record straight.
Seriously?
You’re still arguing semantics?
He was hurt AT the practice. Not before. He wasn’t wearing a giant knee brace that tends to get noticed by everyone, at least not on Saturday’s practice. Dates are kinda relevant when you want to bitch and cry about how important the facts are.
Look, I’m not trying to argue here, but what’s the point?
Are you trying to say he was wearing that giant black knee brace that by all accounts nobody noticed before Monday? I’ve looked at pics and video from Saturday, but maybe they were from a year ago and that’s why the brace isn’t in the pictures? I just don’t get it. This is a blog and it’s dated after Saturday’s practice.
Unreal. I am going to stop. I can’t take this seriously anymore. It feels like I’m being “trolled” and it’s starting to work. Do the injury report and go nuts on the facts.
The article says that the rumors of him being injured did not hold water. That means false, a lie, not true, bogus, or any other word to describe it. That is not semantics. Would not have posted about it if ITK would have updated his post. It seems for you, and most Bama fans, they never admit when they are wrong. Say it with me , I was wrong. It is not that hard. We all are from time to time. I know you will have to have the last word, so go ahead and tell me I am deflecting, or whatever else you want to accuse me of.
@”Elite” Tiger
You are hilarious.
You represent Auburn’s culture to a T.
It’s brilliant, really.
Correct the statement made…before the event happened.
Wow.
Listen to me. Listen hard this time. You say you’re upset because ITK, “most Bama fans” and I can’t admit when we’re wrong.
Now it’s your turn.
Again, he wasn’t wearing the brace Saturday. Next thing you know, he’s wearing an impossible-to-miss knee brace at the following practice, a practice for which there hasn’t been a report for here yet; if there was and that report said the injury was a lie, I could understand you being so vigilant about confronting a blog author for how inaccurate a piece of his report was, maybe.
But in this case, you’re arguing against a timestamp, and you are wrong. Admit that before you obsess any more. The timing is wrong. You could say Auburn won the national title, but not if you’re talking about 2013—-you’d have to be talking about 2010. That’s how timing works, that’s why I don’t think you’re serious—–you can see the timestamp!
This is the epitome of Auburn culture—–never look at yourself for criticism, instead point and blame others. That’s the Auburn culture. That’s why Nick Marshall doesn’t miss a second of anything. That’s why you’re here, mad as hell that your favorite Alabama website didn’t predict an injury before it happened.
At this point I’ve got to assume I’m being “trolled.” I fell for it. Well-played, sir.
So to recap, he was injured on Saturday, and as of Wednesday afternoon, ITK still has not updated the post, and said his original statement(using his words) didn’t hold water. I don’t care about a time stamp, or if that even matters.
As someone who values the truth, I expect that most other people value that as well for themselves. When I had a post last week that I was called on, I manned up, checked it out, found I remembered the event wrong, and not only admitted I was wrong, but corrected it with the right info.
When anyone prints, or says, info that is not true, I am less likely to believe the next thing they say. Since over half the articles here are about Auburn, and he, and other posters, have on numerous occasions, posted info that was not true, I question most of the info posted here.
You keep talking about the culture at Auburn. Won’t have time for at least 2 more weeks, but will respond to that when time allows, because it is more important to provide for my family, than to respond on here. The great thing is in 3 1/2 weeks we both play our first game. Instead of talking about what could happen, we can talk about what did happen.
@Elite Tiger
You are hopelessly obsessed. I’m glad you found Auburn.
Auburn says they won the title in 1993. They didn’t.
ITK writes a player wasn’t injured, then he was, so HE’S the liar.
I love you guys. Never change.
Fuck off you retsrded piece of shit.
For the record, hope his injury is not bad. Knees are not good when hurt, and don’t wish any player to get hurt, though it is part of the game.
@Nope or Conduit: Going to take you up on the injury update report. 99.1 reported tonight Ashawn Robinson sprained his MCL. Thankfully, it wasn’t his ACL as they first thought. My fee for this is $180 k, but will settle for the fee of $45,500.
Nice. Thanks for that. Keep up the excellent coverage of Alabama football.
Have you heard anything about Derrick Henry? Look into that for us if you don’t mind. I’d like to know if he’s healthy. I saw a picture of him this morning and it looked like he was growing at an alarming rate, could be a genetic mutation we need to keep an eye on. It’s a real concern; let us know what you find.
We also need a status update on Amari Cooper, TJ Yeldon, Christion Jones, OJ Howard, Kenyan Drake, Tony Brown, et al.
Derrick is doing fine. He was reported to have run a sub 4 second 40 yard dash, while doing 600 pound squats, immediately after benching 728 pounds 10 times. The others then got in a fight, because one of them said that 10 was the number of MNC’s UAT should claim, and not the 15 you claim(which 5 was added in 1 year, and y’all complain about us thinking about doing what you have already done.) there is no independent verification of any of this, so it might be an Internet rumor( that may, or may not, hold water.)
You turned this into a championship talk?
Really?
There was a national championship game in 2004, for example. Auburn wasn’t in it. They’re still trying to claim it.
Auburn was inelgigible to even compete for the national title in 1993…but they won it? It’s like saying Mike Tyson was the champion after getting kicked out of boxing—–he might have been the best boxer but he was ineligible for the title after being recorded paying players with cash and steaks.
Wait, I mean he bit that guy on the ear in a title bout.
Remember Urban Meyer’s first year as head coach at Ohio State? tOSU would have played Notre Dame for the national championship two years ago. They were ineligible, undefeated, but didn’t play in or win the national title game, and they don’t claim to have won the national title, either.
Alabama’s “claimed” titles at the very leaset came before there was a be-all, end-all national title game. It’s not the same.
It’s not.
But I’m with you. Alabama should really have, like, 10 titles, maybe 9, but let’s take away 3 more just for insurance (Auburn claimed 3 new ones, let’s take 3 of Alabama’s away so the total number is the same). Now we have 6. I’ve seen 5 of them.
I’m willing to accept one title before my lifetime can be considered legitimate, but just in case, let’s take that one away. Now take away one of the 5 I’ve seen in my lifetime just because I wasn’t physically at one of them to witness first-hand. Now we have 4 national titles. It’s double what Auburn’s won, yet somehow less than what Auburn claims as of 2014. I’m good with math, but this one is perplexing to me.
Fortunately, I’m with you on Derrick Henry. He doesn’t know how many titles Alabama should claim, either. If he can help Alabama win another title this year, maybe that will clear up some of the confusion.
At least until Auburn claims to have won that national title game, too.
Thanks for the report. I’ll stay tuned for the info on
Amari Cooper, TJ Yeldon, Christion Jones, OJ Howard, Kenyan Drake, Tony Brown, et al.
You can’t take a joke, but I guess I was too over the top on that one. As far as titles claimed, you have been awarded 15, and we have been awarded 9. There are other years for both teams, that both should have been awarded. They are all mythical till this year. Love how a higher standard is applied to us in that regard by both fan bases. And that will never change.
That’s not true! I can totally take a joke. I love jokes. Jokes are fun.
Auburn’s 923 national titles aren’t jokes. They’re not fun.
Being little brother, now that’s hilarious.
It is not 923. It is only 323. You claim the other 600. But don’t worry, you will have a SID come along and claim at least another 100 of those, like one has already done by claiming 5 in 1986 google got 11, we do’ if you don’t believe me.
It’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s that I remember 1993.
And I won’t forget 2004.
I’ll also never forget the four national titles I’ve seen Alabama win in person. Roll Tide.
Well, well. 2 of the 3 Bama suspended players are back on the team. For sure, this had nothing to do with Ashawn Robinson getting hurt, and these were his backups. Saban wouldn’t do that, though he did with DJ Hall. So they missed less playing time than Marshall or Mincy, which I said would happen. Of course, you do have 1 still suspended, but he will be back soon, I am sure. And we don’t know what Williams and Ivory did to warrant it in the first place.
Dose of reality, you are right about GR and the article here. But we get more news about Auburn here, than what it says it is supposed to be about. They tell us when one of ours gets arrested, suspended, etc. but when it happens to them, you can’t find the article anywhere. Don’t worry though, y’all will get another chance soon to vilify another one of our players for doing wrong. Because youth make dumb decisions sometimes. That is why we come here, to learn about goings on at Auburn. And then you say we are obsessed with you. Okay.
ITK loves this because of the running dialogue between us( still hasn’t given an update, but he is probably busy.) And people reading this are saying “Marge, put another bag of popcorn in the microwave. This is comedy gold I tell you. (Seinfeld reference there.) who knows what these two will come up with next.
Help me out here.
You said they missed less time than Marshall.
Marshall has missed zero anything.
Now, I was a medicine major rather than a math major in school, but isn’t zero the lowest number of seconds you can miss in football?
How did these guys miss “less playing time than Marshall or Mincy?”
Is it because Marshall missed a year at Georgia after getting kicked off their team? Does that count? If it does then I guess you’re right.
And yes, you’re obsessed. You make excuses for why you come here, but the bottom line is I don’t visit Auburn sites to find out about, well, anything. I just don’t go. Because I just don’t care. Because I’m not Little Brother.
You see, you complain about ITK not being here as much as you, but you make assumptions about why he doesn’t “update” his practice reports (really?) and speculate it’s so we can watch you sink your own boat. Marshall isn’t “just another player,” he was (is?) Auburn’s cash cow so to speak, their Heisman front-runner, the face of Auburn football at SEC Media Days despite being “punished” from doing any interviews there. After all, every sports site talked about that one, but you make it sound like it’s a witch-hunt from Capstonereport.com? Really?
Alabama’s suspended players already missed more than Mincy and Marshall and may miss even more (not to mention they’re not all “back on the team” as of 8/12/14), but they LITERALLY can’t miss less than either one at this point because you can’t miss less than zero seconds of football.
Jealous much, Bitch? Can’t leave Bama alone for 5 minutes. Just a Bamassessed Red Headed Stepchild who knows the Barnrat U never has and never will be the Nations leader in ANYTHING! Enjoy your ‘once in a while’ good fortune. In a short short you’ll be back to hiding from embarrassment in your nasty little rat holes. RTR!
While we are kicking ITK for yet another Pulitzer piece , Lets talk about how ITK was bashing Greg Robinson a few weeks ago. It is being reported that GR is learning 2 positions for the Rams , and more than likely will be a starter on Opening Day. Meanwhile in Buffalo, Cyrus continues to puke all over himself , and will be lucky to not be cut. He was being dominated by scrubs, as the Giants 3rd and 4th string DEs blew by him play after play. Then the hysterical ” wiff ” block where he fell flat on his face after completely missing a defender. You can not make this kind of irony up!
