Pastor who slandered the Holy Spirit to defend Ed Litton now attacks the Conservative Baptist Network
Bart Barber, Ed Litton’s appointment to chair the 2022 Southern Baptist Convention’s Committee on Resolutions, slammed the Conservative Baptist Network for promoting racial reconciliation in Christ instead of the SBC Elite preferred Critical Race Theory (CRT).
“If y’all are about reconciling hearts, then you’ve let something take you WAY off message,” Bart Barber said attacking the Conservative Baptist Network.
And what set Ed Litton’s attack dog off? Was Bart Barber upset at CBN’s call for finding racial reconciliation in Christ? Or, perhaps Bart Barber was upset the CBN quoted two black Southern Baptists on the graphic?
Virgil Walker, a co-host of the Just Thinking Podcast and SBC First Vice President and Mid-America Theological Seminary dean and vice president were quoted on the Conservative Baptist Network graphic.
“Races don’t reconcile; hearts do,” Walker said.
“If the sacrifice of Jesus Christ provides the only means of reconciliation between the Creator and the created, surely Christ’s sacrifice is the only real means of reconciliation among any to created people,” Brand said. “All attempts at unity that do not begin with Christ start on faulty ground and will produce nothing of eternal significance.”
But, Barber decided to attack.
And that got some pushback from conservative Southern Baptists.
Travis McNeely challenged Bart Barber’s attack on the CBN. McNeely said, “I find it funny that when CBN has raised and proven true many claims about a drift they are dismissed, lambasted, slandered, & ignored. But of course, those who don’t agree are “justified” in their criticism. The burden of proof is on you Bart, how are they off message?”
Disgraced SBC President Ed Litton appointed Bart Barber to chair the Committee on Resolutions. No doubt this honor was given to Barber for defending Litton from plagiarism allegations. (Previously, Bart Barber justified Ed Litton staying as president because a CBN member would become President. Talk about End Justify the Means and ungodly ethics—that is Bart Barber!)
Naturally, some pastors and Southern Baptists are wondering if this virtue signaling attack on the Conservative Baptist Network is Bart Barber angling for another SBC Elite prize.
“Look for Bart to be the new man at ERLC. He is campaigning for it,” one observer tweeted.
While it is unlikely that Barber is campaigning for an ERLC post, or really anything. He always wants to show himself helpful to the SBC Elite regimes. This is how you get ahead in the SBC. That is the state of the Southern Baptist Convention. This convention with its manifest wickedness is because of Bart Barber and men like him.
