Christian higher education is in jeopardy if Democrats win the presidency in 2020, said one leading Christian theology professor. The LGBTQ attack on accreditation and tax-exempt status will destroy Christian colleges, universities and harm many churches, said Dr. Robert A.J. Gagnon.
Dr. Gagnon is professor of Theology at Houston Baptist University. He is also one of the foremost scholars on the New Testament’s teachings against homosexuality. Gagnon warned that the LGBTQ agenda would spell the end of Christian colleges and universities.
Gagnon said in a social media post,
“Every faculty member who teaches at evangelical or orthodox-Catholic institution of higher learning who is making it possible for a Democrat to be elected in 2020 better start looking for employment in a secular institution. The result of a Democratic victory will be that such institutions will lose both federal funding (research grants, student loans) and accreditation if they don’t toe the ‘LGBTQ’ line. Once accreditation is lost, the student body will dissipate because no student will risk getting a degree from an institution that is worthless in their chosen profession. Likewise, every church that does not toe the ‘LGBTQ’ line needs to ask where they will get the funds to cover the loss of tax-exempt status and the markedly decreased donations from congregants who can no longer count them as charity.”
Gagnon is one of the most important voices in modern evangelical Christianity. He speaks to the moral aspects of these political issues. And he does it from a conservative Christian perspective—unlike most of the Elite Evangelicals like Russell Moore and his ERLC.
Gagnon’s observation is important because it was just a few months ago that former Democratic Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke floated the idea of punishing churches who run afoul of same-sex marriage.
O’Rourke was asked about church opposition to same-sex marriage during a CNN Town Hall. He responded, “There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone … that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us.”
That’s the future of America if a Democrat wins the presidency.
Everyone knows it.
So, why are so many Elite Evangelicals attacking President Trump and helping Democrats win in 2020?

Just as God uses Satan, God is using The Democrats to awaken a still very passive and indifferent Christian Community, vis-a-vis politics.
I often marvel at all the energy my local churches put into missions, overseas, when the most important missions we have, and have had, we have failed – our own country.
The election of 2016, the turmoils of the unUnited Methodist Church and The Southern Baptist Convention, are signs that Christians are beginning to awaken, yet, that effort is still wholly insufficient and not well enough organized.
Just as many conservative evangelical Christians continue to pray that the disunity in this country can be smoothed out, so do they seem to continue to think that we can mollify those who do not like us.
We can’t.
We need our own schools, our own businesses, our own unprogressive churches and we need our own communities – all of which means we need our own country.
I don’t know about y’all, but, I am long past worn out with the neverending demands of the secularists. Moreover, I think we have spent the last 60+ years compromising with them (compromising our faith) and what has it gotten us?
America is post-Christian.
Virtually every serious person believes this, especially after a study of the issue- a study that leaves aside the various offhand utterances to polls, etc., and that unfairly values one’s distant, socialized connection to religion, not a meaningful belief in God.
Our church leaders like Daniel Akin love to talk about the Great Commission as it leaves his social justice warriors free reign to drastically alter church to more appropriately resemble his “woke” belief system, not with Word of God.
