The Alabama Athletic Department released this official statement from Crimson Tide football player Barrett Jones.
Statement from Alabama Offensive Lineman Barrett Jones on Aaron Douglas:
“Aaron Douglas was a great teammate and great guy. He was a really hard worker that was having a positive impact on our football team. Aaron was someone I’ve known since high school. We were from the same state, and we were being recruited at the same time. I enjoyed getting to know him, and I was looking forward to having him as a teammate the next two years. His loss is extremely sad, and we are going to miss him dearly. He has a wonderful family and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.”

There is tons of writing on the Net about this, but nothing on how or why. What a tragedy for his family. Just since January and thru the Spring Game he was heading for a bright future and was making everybody on Bama’s team have to play better. What the hell happened. You just never know in this life.
