The AP calls it Round 3 in the battle between Alabama Crimson Tide star receiver Julio Jones and LSU’s star corner Patrick Peterson.

It is a titanic match, and it could determine the outcome of this week’s game. Both are likely to earn a spot in the first round of the NFL draft.

The players both praise each other. According to the AP, “Jones calls Peterson “by far” the best cornerback he has faced. Peterson says Jones looked like NFL star Andre Johnson in his last game.” (Below is much more on these star players.)

  1. You can catch the earlier, more timely version of this debate in mine and BP’s ongoing sparring match concerning Julio and Petersen, right here on Capstone Reports. Of course by defending Julio naturally I won Just as he did. Bwaa Haww Haww! RTR!

  2. There you go BP. Read it and weep. This article doesn’t sound too much to me like Peterson was shutting down Julio, dude. As a freshman 7 for 125, as a sophomore 4 for 105. Both years Julio made the game winning catch. Julio, Julio, Julio! RTR!
