Defensive End/Linebacker Craig Sanders of Ariton, Alabama committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide Tuesday; he was the 12th commitment of the 2010 class. Ariton is 6’4″, 230 lbs, 4.6 in the 40, and rated a four star prospect by Scout and Rivals.
Scout lists athleticism, intensity/effort and toughness as strengths. Size and techniques/moves as weaknesses. According to Scout’s analysis, “One of the top jumbo athletes in the country, Sanders lines up at outside linebacker, down lineman, fullback, tailback, and quarterback among other places. … The type of player that can change the course of a game.”
ESPN rates Ariton as a 79, and provides some guidance about Ariton’s potential in college, “He possesses a good natural build and presents the frame to add good additional bulk with time in a college weight program. He plays from both a two and three point stance and will likely project as a defensive end, but could fit as an OLB in a 3-4 scheme.” As always, ESPN provides additional analysis that is worth reading.
If you are looking for his academic standing, Stanford and Georgia Tech recruited him—that could provide a clue.

Quick, somebody check to see if there’s a Porsche in his garage! Damn, if Stanford and Ga. Tech want him then he’s too smart to need prep school. That means that lowlife CNS will have to mistreat some poor 3* to get him to transfer and free up a ‘desperately’ needed scholly! How dare him! LMFAO! RTR!
Bama’s gotten 4 or 5 four-star players since the Auburn Limo charade started. Has Auburn gotten any commits during that time? Other than beating out UAB and Troy for a longsnapper?
The only commits Auburn will ever get are players that get hooked to E.G. White’s beautifully named Gus Maltz(an) Liquor Offense that curtails to High School Football and that only — but we all know that the pro style I-O and 3-4 defense sends pipe hitters to the NFL in mega numbers — not a “couple” of specialty players that will dream about extra incentives that they could get in their future contracts. You all know where I’m going with this. RTR.
Hey EG, this looks like another proverbial “Porsch” in Saban’s Ttown garage! Of course, how could it compare with Chiznics’ carport which is full of Pintos and Chevettes that no one else wanted other than UAB and South Alabama.
They won’t be winning any races anytime soon, at least until they hire a decent coach. Auburn and their fans are truly a joke and embarrassment to our state. How about staying off our blogs! Can ya’ll not afford one of your own?
