  1. I had the privilege of playing for Coach Bowden briefly at Samford before coming to my senses and transfering to Alabama. What a complete boob. If he reminded us once on the practice field who his daddy was, he did it 100 times. Maybe he’s older, wiser and hungrier now, but back then, he was a laughingstock among his players.

  2. Auburn sure did think he was the greatest thing ever when he coached there. Well, at least until he left.

  3. Geez, ITK. I’m certainly not gonna sit here and call Terry Bowden the 2nd coming of Lombardi, but there’s no denying that he was very sucessful at Samford. If all those players thought he was a laughing stock, they didn’t show it on the playing field.

    BTW, he carried on the tradition of mentioning “Diddy” every other sentence while he was at Auburn, also.
