Chris Low revealed in a column this morning that three SEC schools are paying a combined $15 million for coaches not to coach. And that sum is just for the three schools who fired coaches this season, Mississippi State, Auburn and Tennessee.

Only in the SEC would three schools be paying a combined $15 million in buyout money to three different head coaches just to take a hike.

That’s not counting what they’re paying the former assistants at Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee, either.

Whoever says we’re in an economic crunch in this country obviously hasn’t been introduced to SEC football.
