Auburn’s athletic director ran into the press tonight. According to Jay G. Tate’s blog, Jay Jacobs was shocked the press was there.

The athletic director was intercepted as he left the building tonight. He seemed surprised that reporters would spend their time waiting for such an opportunity. I’m surprised that he’s surprised.

The only news from the encounter was the guy running Auburn’s athletic department is more incompetent than anyone previously thought.

  1. Why woudl reporters be surprised that he is surprised?
it will be business as ususal at Auburn. Becasue Auburn is dealing from a position of weakness, Tommy Tuberville doesnt have to do anything but play the waiting game.

  2. The longer this drags on the more likely Tubbs is gone. It is funny after hearing all the Aubies here talk Tubby up before the season, bragging on what he has accomplished, and now they want him gone. He gave Auburn the Golden Age of Auburn Football, and they treat him like this.

  3. I think hes earned another year. But past accomplishments only get you so far. The only multi – million dollar jobs that dont require productuctivity are already taken by Ford, G.M. and Chryslers CEOs.
