The Rap Sheet reported this morning that Alabama’s Rolando McClain was injured in a motorcycle accident in Decatur.
Reportedly, McClain escaped major injury.
How long until fans ask we ban players from riding motorcycles?
In truth, that wouldn’t be such a bad idea. While McClain was wearing a helmet, and escaped major injury, motorcycles aren’t the safest form of transportation. NFL quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was injured while not wearing his helmet during an accident June 12, 2006. Roethlisberger underwent seven hours of surgery.
While Saban is telling players to stay off the strip, maybe he should also tell them to skip the mopeds and motorcycles?
