The Bama Sports Report is reporting that “Kenny Stabler will leave the Crimson Tide Sports Network. We’re hearing that Stabler will depart the crew – and possibly the south – to spend more time with his family.”
Stabler has had a rough few months with his beach property facing government auction April 22. (Read about it here.) Stabler also was kicked from the Alabama Crimson Tide broadcast team for the 2008 season following a DUI arrest. Stabler prevailed over the DUI charge winning acquittal (see AP story here), but his status with the Alabama football play-by-play team has remained unclear.

Kenny was always an outlaw but I liked him. I thought he did a great job in the booth and I will miss that. But over all he’s been his own worst enemy. I was hopeful that as he became older he would become wiser….maybe now he will.
Good luck Kenny and thanks for the memories!
Good luck with everything Kenny. We’ll miss you
They should have fired Eli. That dude just sounds fat.
Eli can easily wipe his ass with your intellect AubJoke.
Kenny has taken advantage of his celebrity to get him out of his jams. I think that he realizes that a cat has nine lives and he is knocking on that.
He will be back after his purgatory.
PLUTO……….You hurt my feewings. Eli probably cant reach his own butt to wipe it. You are his official buttwiper/sniffer.
One thing that we can agree on there AubJoke. He can spell a hell of a lot better than you.
Sorry that I hurt your “feewings”. I guess that’s free chicken wings they hand out at the shelter in Gadsden.
pluto………..You are right. I am not the spelling bee champ. But you are appearantly. That word feewings was an intentional misspell though. You know, for dramatic effect. But it flew right over your thick head.
So Ballplay, was the word “appearantly” an intentional misspell as well?
No. I just suck at spelling. And the one intentional mispell I wanted to clarify. Is that Okay ?
Ballplay likes to show off his Auburn tinted education.
