The Dallas Statement on Social Justice & The Gospel was tagged by Twitter as Unsafe. Links to the Dallas Statement are showing this warning when a user attempts to click on it:
Twitter says of the Statement on Social Justice & the Gospel, “Warning: this link may be unsafe,” in big print at the top of the page. Twitter goes on to say, “The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful or associated with a violation of Twitter’s Terms of Service.”
Twitter slapped the warning on what appears to be the entire site. An article by Samuel Sey along with the frontpage of the site and the statement page itself were returning the warning this afternoon (Monday, June 29, 2020.)
Samuel Sey said the Twitter warning was a vote of confidence in the Dallas Statement.
“@Twitter, has seemingly given the Statement on Social Justice its biggest endorsement yet,” Sey tweeted.
Dallas Statement signer and Southern Baptist Pastor Tom Buck tweeted that this move by Twitter is “Reason 1,001 of why you should sign the Social Justice & Gospel statement right now!”
Another Dallas Statement signer Josh Buice said this was expected as part of the new Cancel Culture.
“I was made aware of it earlier,” Buice said. “We anticipated this as a natural outplay of the cancel culture.”
The Dallas Statement on Social Justice & the Gospel is an interdenominational effort by conservatives to outline how a new Social Gospel heresy distorts the Gospel mission of evangelical churches. It was signed and released in 2019 and now lists over 14,000 signatures. The initial signers included Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Voddie Baucham, Phil Johnson, Dr. Tom Ascol, Dr. James White, Darrell Harrison, Michael O’Fallon, Justin Peters, Tom Buck, Josh Buice, Anthony Mathenia, and Dr. Craig Mitchell.
Other notable signers include Vesta Sproul, Tom Nettles, Douglas Wilson, Rod Martin (a leader in the newly formed Conservative Baptist Network), Allie Beth Stuckey and Brad Jurkovich (a leader of the newly formed Conservative Baptist Network).

- Go sign the Dallas Statement.
