The Alabama Football team holds its annual A-Day game Saturday. The game kicks at about 2:05 p.m. Saturday and can be seen on CSS. ESPN3.com will provide coverage subject to blackout rules.

However, if you can attend, then Alabama football coach Nick Saban wants you there.

“It is going to be a beautiful day on Saturday,” Saban said. “This team has worked very hard and it would be a lot of positive self-gratification to have a supportive group there for the game on Saturday. It is great for recruiting, and it is certainly great for our team.”

Players are excited about the opportunity to hit the big stage in front of the crowd.

“I’m going to do my best out there,” Alabama running back Jalston Fowler said. “I look at it as a big reward. People get to see what you can do on national TV.”

Players see many benefits from A-Day.

“There are a lot of good things about it to see how far you’ve come and see how much you’ve improved from practice one to A-Day,” Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones said.

Even Nick Saban is excited about A-Day 2012.

“I’m really looking forward to the game,” Saban said. “It’s probably the closest thing to a game that we have until the opening game. This is a real opportunity, and we play it as close to a real game as we can. We have the first offense on one team and the first defense on the other team and they play against each other.”
