It is a few years off, but there is serious talk of moving the Alabama-Duke game to the Georgia Dome.

The Atlanta Sports Council met with the Duke AD during the ACC spring meetings about the possibility of hosting the 2010 Alabama & Duke game in the Georgia Dome, Tony Barnhardt reported May 15 for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

One of the selling points for moving the game was the assistance hosting the game in Atlanta would give to Duke recruiting.

It is only natural to assume such a move would help Alabama’s recruiting in the Peach State. As a sidenote, Birmingham and Mobile are also wooing the Blue Devils to host the game, but Barnhart’s report said Atlanta is in the lead due to its importance for Blue Devil recruiting.
