The USA Today Top 25 poll was released Sunday morning with the SEC dominating college football. It also points to a potential BCS Championship rematch between Alabama and LSU.

The poll of football coaches comprises part of the BCS formula. The Top five were: 1. LSU, 2. Alabama, 3. Arkansas, 4. Virginia Tech, 5. Stanford. For the complete list you can visit the USA Today website for more information.

Fans will find it interesting to see the vote totals for teams at #2, #3 and #4.

Alabama has 1,413 points. Arkansas has 1,349 points.

From there it is a large gulf with Virginia Tech holding 1,242 points and Stanford with 1,222 points.

It looks as if a rematch between Alabama and LSU is a fait accompli. Of course, Arkansas will have a voice in this. LSU plays Arkansas, and there is little doubt that the Razorbacks have the best quarterback in the SEC. Will it be enough to challenge LSU?

Alabama has its annual rivalry game with Auburn. It was just announced that GameDay will be in Auburn for the game. Will Auburn have a chance to derail the rematch?
