With the two titans of the SEC playing this weekend, what is being said about the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida Gators? Well, Georgia’s coach had something interesting to say.

AP: “It’s not all that uncommon,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. “It’s happened from time to time. It’s not like it’s never happened before, but it usually doesn’t last forever. The job that Nick and Urban are doing right now and the momentum that they’ve created through it when it comes to recruiting and everything else, you sit there and go it’s going to be tough.

“It’ll probably be a while for them to slow down, but it just means that other people have to rise up and get better. It’s not easy to do, no doubt, because it doesn’t happen all the time. But when it does, everybody’s doing everything they can to take these people down.” (read more on the SEC and Alabama below)

  1. Yeah, Boise, TCU and Utah are already lighting the bitch, bitch, bitch fires in anticipation of going undefeated and getting knocked out of the title game by a one loss SEC team. They aren’t the ones I’m worried about. If OSU goes undefeated and with Iowa biting it , it looks like they will, I’m concerned about Nebraska, Oklahoma or Oregon going undefeated. We would not bump any of those teams if we have a loss. Stanford would be questionable. Actually any undefeated champion from the Big 10, Big 12 or Pac 10 would probably bump any one loss SEC team.

  2. You are right. But Bama has the most direct path to the NC game. Just win, and nobody jumps them! They have went undefeated for 2 regular seasons. Has anyone ever done 3 times in a row?
