I enjoyed Saturday in Tuscaloosa and have enjoyed Sunday’s NFL games. Here is a recap of the big Alabama win. First a few choice quotes from Penn State’s Joe Paterno and Alabama’s Nick Saban and Trent Richardson.

“We came down here knowing how good they were and we didn’t wise up to it,” Paterno said. “I’m not just blaming the kids. I thought our kids didn’t play well and I don’t think we did a good job coaching. Period.”

“A tough crowd and a tough football team,” Paterno said. “That made it tough on him. We didn’t do a good job coaching and getting him ready for this one. I think we’ve got a long ways to go to be a good football team.”

“Trent Richardson played a fantastic game,” Saban said. “He’s the first one to get 100 yards against their defense in a long, long time , which says a lot about their defense. But it also says a lot about Trent.”

“I tried to put the offense on my back and run with it,” Richardson said.

  1. Good now carry your sorry ass back to happy valley with that half ass team you have.Only was in the top twenty because of the name JOPA..LMAO ROLLTIDEE

  2. Say what you want. JoePa is is as classy as they get. I’m old enough to remember back in the day when Paterno and Bryant were respectful of each other. If Coach Paterno was good enough for Coach Bryant, he’s good enough for me.

Football, and the world in general, could use a few more like him.

  3. I think that it is painfully obvious that Joe Pa needs to Retire. He is nothing more than a figurehead – Bobby B can appreciate that too.
If they are happy with this state of affairs at Penn State – to hell with it.

  4. This Bama team is only going to get better and better as the season rolls along. This is probably going to be the best offensive Bama team I have seen in my lifetime. The defense will be stronger as the new guys get settled in. And they are pretty good right now. Roll Tide!
