T he college football season is close. It is game week. One of the biggest stories Alabama fans are interested in is something that Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban doesn’t like to discuss—the depth chart. However, the Tuscaloosa News provides a reminder: “Saban typically releases an official depth chart today, the Monday prior to the team’s first game. Among the most anticipated decisions are at cornerback, at one of two safety positions, and at strongside linebacker.”

Didn’t the depth chart not come out until Wednesday of last year? Wouldn’t surprise me if it was done at the last minute to have an upper hand. And that’s fine with me — the media will get their program card when it’s time.
