Former Alabama Crimson Tide football player Terrence Cody was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list by the Baltimore Ravens as training camp practice begins.

From the AP: Baltimore Ravens second-round draft pick Terrence Cody failed his conditioning test Tuesday and was not permitted to participate in the team’s first training camp practice.

The 360-pound defensive tackle out of Alabama signed a three-year contract Monday and arrived at McDaniel College eager to launch his NFL career. But after flunking his physical, he was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP).

“Part of our process is everybody’s got to pass the conditioning test to be sure they’re ready to compete,” coach John Harbaugh said after Tuesday’s practice. “It’s going to be hot out here, our practices are fast. We’ve got to be sure guys are physically ready to practice at the pace we’re practicing at.

“So, when he passes the conditioning test, he’ll practice.” (Read the entire AP report embedded below.)

  1. Has there been any Auburn slobs to sign a NFL contract lately? Has there been anyone from Auburn to sign a NFL contract lately? Serious question….

  2. Yes, there has been quite a few lately…If you want to go back for the last 10 years or so, you will see a lot more quality NFL players from AU on NFL rosters than UA. Last year was a short year for us with only Tate and McFadden being drafted , but 2 or three others went free agent.(A. Coleman)

Two slobs that come to mind are Andre and now Cody…Its a shame. Them boys need to figure out how to get away from the table.

  3. True that Cody may need to diet and jog a little more.

Or perhaps its those big Championship rings that is weighing him down.

    Big, Big, Diamonds!

  4. Hey ask us if we give a d–n what they do in the NFL. Those slobs beat the s–t out of Abarn 2 years straight. That’s what we got ’em for. Bwaa Haww Haww! RTR!
