Archie Griffin, the only two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy, thinks a running back will win the award, which will be handed out Saturday night in New York.

“I think it is probably going to be a running back that wins it this year,” Griffin said in this AP video.

Griffin expressed surprise that the Alabama Crimson Tide had never produced a Heisman Trophy winner, and noted that Mark Ingram could be the first winner for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

  1. Gerhart, Ingram & McCoy — that’s the way he voted in that order according to the video opener. Just a guess though.

Since he won twice — does he get two votes? Good question eh IMO?

  2. Well of course Griffin is not going to vote for anyone from the State of Michigan, unless they went to Ohio State! But he’s screwing over a Midwesterner for a Left Coaster. Asshole! RTR!
