What is going on at practice? Here is an update courtesy of UA:
Tide Preparing for MSU Running Game
The Alabama football team practiced for two hours in full pads on Tuesday afternoon inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility as preparations continue for Saturday’s SEC road game at Mississippi State. The Crimson Tide worked indoors on Tuesday due to the heavy rains in the Tuscaloosa area from tropical storm Ida.

Senior nose guard Terrence Cody talked about defending the Mississippi State running game this weekend.

“They are a pretty tough team,” Cody said of the Bulldogs’ offense. “They put their mind to running the ball and they try and run the ball at you as many times as they can. They are real physical up front and have some tough running backs.”

Alabama sophomore running back Mark Ingram and MSU senior running back Anthony Dixon are the league’s top two rushers heading into Saturday’s game. Ingram leads the league with 127.6 yards per game, while Dixon has a 125.1 yard per game average.

Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones talked about practice and how the offense is preparing for Mississippi State’s defense.

“We’ve been having good practices this week,” Jones said after Tuesday’s practice. “Mississippi State is a good opponent and they’ve got a really good team, so we’ve been preparing hard just like any other week.

“They do a lot of different things on defense. They have a lot of talent over there. They have some young guys, but they are still really talented. They bring a lot of looks at us and that’s something we have really been working on this week.”

Alabama and Mississippi State will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, from Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville, Miss. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN with Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Erin Andrews describing the action. The game will also be aired on the Crimson Tide Sports Network with Eli Gold, Phil Savage and Barry Krauss calling the action. The game can be heard locally in Tuscaloosa on WFNN-FM (95.3 FM).
