George Will’s best work in years

G eorge Will has been on fire with commentary over the last few weeks. If you haven’t read him—you should.
The Toxic Assets We Elected
Bailing Out of the Constitution
Climate Change’s Dim Bulbs
Government vs. the Axles of Evil

The last column listed above examines the problems when government becomes involved in industrial policy—something politicians have little experience managing.

I have always enjoyed reading Will, but the last few weeks have been amazing.

Capstone, thanks for the links. While the GOP has moved to the center, George Will has remained the voice of Conservatism. Republicans, and Democrats, would be wise to heed his words.

Problem with George is that he still believes in “Free Trade”. If you ever have the chance to roam the Country – all the empty Factories will sober a man up.
I guess when the ‘handlers” get rid of and export all the manufacturing jobs – we can all can become “comrades”.

Free trade? No, we have nothing remotely resembling free trade.

Instead, we have the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world, a managed trade agreement that favors politically-connected conglomerates, and an army of environmentalists so thick they block out the sun.

Please do some research before slandering George Will with your stone age economics
