A fire at Bryant-Denny Stadium damaged the JumboTron scoreboard at the South End Zone. The massive scoreboard was being removed as part of the expansion project underway. The fire is under investgiation according to reports. Crimson Confidential has a photograph of the fire damage and more details.

According to the News, “At least four fire trucks and an ambulance responded to the scene, with more than a dozen firefighters engaged. Some firefighters were inside the scoreboard structure. The Tuscaloosa Fire Department and the University Police Department responded to the call shortly before 1 p.m.”

  2. Ballplay, where were you shortly before 1 p.m.? That was not necessary, the scoreboard did not freeze on 36-0. . . .
