The nightmare of the basketball fight engulfed an Alabama football recruit. According to the Montgomery Advertiser, “One of Carver’s most recognizable students went on the floor, though he didn’t join in the fight. Brandon Moore, an Alabama football signee, returned to the stands and later was trying to keep two groups apart. He was Maced along with the groups who were fighting when police moved to break it up.”

  1. You can see big Brandon in a LS White TS on the left hand side of the screen trying to break things up. He’s the one who goes down and then gets a towel when the mace gets sprayed into the crowd. Looks like he took the brunt of it. It also looks like the mace didn’t have the effect desired. The wrong dude gets it in the eyes, the peacemaker goes down, and the fight escalates after being sprayed. Don’t think the police / security did a very good job. Plus, that dude in the lime green that loses there short should have been arrested and hopefully was.

  2. If he had half a brain he would have left the building. Let the law keep the peace. In a melee like that its hard to know who is doing what. But nevertheless, it does appear that he was trying.

  3. If it were your friends or family members involved I think most people would try to break it up. He is a big dude, I think he had honorable intentions. But it is unfortunate that these types of things keep happening there. The thing that stood out to me was the grown men and women acting like that. It really shames our state when this keeps happening. The schools involved should have their basketball program halted for a year at least.

  5. You are right. People always want to make race an issue when it comes to these things. No race has a monopoly on stupidity. Al and Jesse should be leading the charge to ban the basketball for a year. It doesn’t have to do with race, just the shocking amount of mass stupidity that was shown.
