Auburn finished a stirring recruiting weekend by landing one of the most sought after quarterbacks in the nation in Alabama’s Mr. Football Clint Moseley. According to Track Em Tigers, “Clint Moseley picked the Tigers over several other schools. This year’s Mr. Football in the state of Alabama, Moseley passed for 8,413 yards and 79 touchdown passes during his career.”

Those several other schools include football powerhouses Arkansas State, UAB, South Alabama and Marshall.

According to one poster on a popular Auburn message board, Moseley easily is superior to Alabama’s A.J. McCarron; the poster said McCarron is only highly ranked by recruiting services because he is committed to Alabama.

Auburn’s strong showing has the Tigers in the Top 25 recruiting! The Tigers stand at an awesome 23!

While Auburn was cleaning up with top talent, Alabama’s recruiting is in a tailspin since the departure of top recruiter Lance Thompson.

McCarron could take a trip to offensive juggernaut Oklahoma! But the bad news doesn’t stop there. According to multiple media reports, Trent Richardson praised his Florida visit. He gave his visit to Gainesville a 10; that compares to an 8 he rated his visit to Tuscaloosa.

And the bad news continues to come for the Tide. Highly sought defensive lineman Brandon Moore has decided to delay his choice of Alabama or Florida because the lineman says he is “confused.” The greatest recruiter in the world, Urban Meyer has an in-home visit scheduled with the lineman. That can’t be good for Tide fans.

And Tide fans can just forget Rueben Randle. Randle reportedly (on the message boards) loves all things Les Miles and obviously won’t leave the state. Nobody ever leaves Louisiana—not even Joe McKnight. Errm, nevermind.

There is no hope for this Alabama class. Presently, it stands at fifth in the Rivals ranking, but Tide fans should consider it a disappointment after last year’s class.

Nice try downplaying Bama’s class. Looks like they came through nicely on signing day with a number one or number 2 class. Where was Auburn? Just as I thought. The trend appears to be gaining momentum.
