Ron DeSantis shows how to stop leftists

Corporations, sports leagues losing will to promote radical Leftist agenda. Ron DeSantis is teaching Leftist radicals a lesson.

It is a small step. Small, but good. Sports leagues have lost the willpower to agitate for leftist political causes by canceling events in conservative states.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “One reason behind the shift is that groups don’t think they could pull off most boycott demands now. ‘Sports governing bodies do not have the political will or desire to move championships the way they did after [the North Carolina public facilities law]. So we’ve just been forced to reconcile with that,’” said one leftist agitator.

The report cites the NBA’s refusal to move the All-Star game out of Utah. It also cited how local national leftist groups were hearing from local leftist organizations that these types of actions hurt “the local economy and damaged political relationships.”

Yet, leftists in the media and sports are pushing for leagues to come out in support of radical pro-abortion positions. Fortunately, few are doing that—at least right now.

Conservatives must keep up the pressure on corporations and sports leagues.

Gov. Ron DeSantis is leading the way with showing the Walt Disney Corporation that it cannot push its radical sexual agenda without being held accountable.

According to WDWNT DeSantis said, ““I think Disney took it one step further when they took out this incredible statement after they already did all of their virtue signaling and after we’d already signed the bill saying this is somehow a violation of human rights and that they would see that [the bill] was repealed through the Legislature…. I did not take an oath to subcontract out my leadership to some corporation based in Burbank, California.”

This is what conservative leadership looks like.

And Florida made sure Disney paid a price for its idiocy.

DeSantis is also pushing against other forms of Leftist indoctrination. DeSantis has fought the spread of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in public schools. DeSantis signed the Stop W.O.K.E. Act in late April.

“We believe in education, not indoctrination,” DeSantis said. “We believe an important component of freedom in the state of Florida is the freedom from having oppressive ideologies opposed upon you without your consent.”

Conservatives are not accustomed to winning these types of fights. Typically, conservatives fold under pressure—see Mike Pence as governor of Indiana surrendering on religious freedom. DeSantis is the new type of Republican that America needs.
