Reuters is reporting that Colonial Bancgroup (ticker: CNB) may have its bank placed into receivership by Alabama banking regulators. Also, the bank is facing a criminal probe. According to the report, “The DoJ’s allegations of irregularities relate to more than one year’s audited financial statements and regulatory financial reporting, Colonial said in the regulatory filing.” The Reuters report is embedded below.
