Andre Smith hires an agent

Pro Football Talk has confirmed reports that former Alabama offensive lineman Andre Smith has hired Alvin Keels as his agent. Smith is considered a top lineman in the draft and is widely expected to be a top five pick, perhaps the number one overall pick.

Smith’s agent status kept the All-American out of the Sugar Bowl game—something fans no doubt vividly remember. It was widely reported Smith was suspended by Alabama due to some type of contact with an agent. However, the agent story has taken a turn.

According to PFT, “The talk we’re hearing is that Smith ‘fired’ DeBartolo Sports, which implies (if true) that he at some point had “hired” the firm.”

  1. What in the world is he thinking? Maybe it’s the point that he was not thinking. However, an incredibly smart kid and well articulated. Hmmmmm, maybe this is just another point of how money messes up everything. I hope that Andre regrets his decision on what he has done. I’m not so inlcined to know what this will do to our beloved progroam, if anything. I hope for the best, though.

    ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!
