Is this a police state? It sure looks like it as Democrats exploit the Pandemic to oppress Christians.

Unlike many of my friends in the Evangelical Dark Web, I believe the state has the power to restrict church services during a time of national emergency. We don’t drive to church when the roads are closed. We don’t hold services after mandatory evacuations during a hurricane’s landfall. However, these types of restrictions apply to everyone. Equally. That’s no longer happening when it comes to Democrats attacking churches.

Todd Starnes detailed two explosive and depressing stories.

First, Democrats in the State of Kentucky are waging war on religious liberty. (See what happens when Christians let Democrats win elections? Remember that in November.) The Democratic mayor of Louisville and the Democratic Governor of Kentucky are preventing drive-in church services. However, these same Democrats are enabling other drive-in and drive-up service.

According to Starnes, “’How come drive-in church services are being cancelled this week in Louisville to ‘flatten the curve,’ but drive-thrus and drive-up ice cream stores are open as well as liquor stores and abortion clinics,’ one person wrote on social media.”

Starnes went on to report, “The EMW Women’s Surgical Center, which advertises itself as the state’s only licensed abortion clinic, is open for business at this very moment. I’d say the risk of death in an abortion clinic is far greater than attending a drive-in Easter Sunday church service.”

Second, police in Greenville, Mississippi fined a church for holding a drive-in service. A friend sent this story our way: “The police in Greenville, MS went to Temple Baptist Church this evening and gave everyone there a ticket for $500 because they had a drive-in service. Everyone was in their cars with the windows up listening to pastor Arthur Scott preached on the radio. What is harmful about people being in their cars listening to preaching with their windows up? Christians do you all see what is going on?”

Unfortunately, we do see what is going on—and it is not good.

Democrats are using power to oppress Christians and suppress Christianity.

When restaurants, abortion clinics and liquor stores are open, but a church can’t even have people sitting in their cars—with windows rolled up—there is something evil going on here.

What do you think will happen if Democrats win the election in November?

You can expect even more oppression and even more suppression.

The church I attend here in Alabama is hosting its services online. That’s the path I prefer during this time. However, what I prefer and what I think best is not the issue. The issue is the unequal treatment of churches relative to secular business.

Democrats are making it clear material needs trump spiritual needs. Democrats hold that man lives by bread alone.

Democrats are exploiting the Pandemic to punish Christians.

It will only get worse if they win more elections.

Remember that in November.

  1. You need to check who runs the government in MS. The Republicans control every aspect of State Government. The REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR, Tate Reeves, is who banned all drive up church services in his Executive Order. So don’t blame this on Democrats.

    1. The governor’s order explicitly says religious entities are essential, “Religious entities including religious and faith-based facilities, entities and groups, religious gatherings provided that they adhere to the CDC and the Mississippi Department of Health recommendations and guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

The problem here is that the local police decided to unequally enforce the law.

    2. Not true. Tate Reeves urged pastors to forego Easter service; he did NOT ban them. However, I believe the city’s MAYOR–Eric D. Simmons, whom the church is suing, along with the city–looks to be a Democrat. Not surprising, when his campaign theme seems geared to imitate Barack Obama’s.
