Alabama Football Coach Nick Saban updated the status top recruit signee Robert Foster. According to Saban, Robert Foster was required to repeat a class before joining Alabama on campus because the academic credit was not accepted by the clearinghouse.

“Well, you know, we feel like Robert was, by the clearinghouse, the eligibility committee, did not accept one of his classes,” Alabama football coach Nick Saban said about Robert Foster. “They gave him an opportunity to repeat the class. That’s what he’s in the process of doing. If he repeats the class successfully, he’ll be there in the fall.”

Robert Foster signed with Alabama in February on National Signing Day. Foster is the only member of the signing class with an uncertain status. Today’s update from Saban gives greater clarity about when Foster could join the Alabama team.

Robert Foster of Monaca, PA. played at Central Valley High School. He is 6’2″ and 187 lbs and 4.49 speed in the 40, and was considered one of the best wide receivers available in the last recruiting class. Foster picked Alabama over homestate Pittsburgh. Foster was invited to the Under Armor All-American High School football game.

Foster was part of another consensus top ranked recruiting class from Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
