Attempted robbery could be the motive in the shooting of Alabama Crimson Tide football player Brandon Deaderick. Media reports from al.com and Rivals.com indicate a shooter fled the scene after the attempted robbery. The Tuscaloosa News has updated its report to indicate the player was shot once, according to the police chief.

The Tuscaloosa News is reporting: “Alabama defensive player Brandon Deaderick was shot twice at Rivermont Apartments Monday night in Tuscaloosa.”

The Bama Beat reports: “The shooting occurred at Rivermont Apartments. Witnesses said the shooter fled from the complex and police are currently investigating and searching for the suspect.”
