Many Alabama fans want Mike Anderson to become coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team. However, that might be more difficult today.

Here is an AP story on how Missouri is working to keep the hot coach. From the AP (see entire report embedded below), “The third-year coach has led Missouri to one of the best seasons in school history, racking up a record 31 wins and a Big 12 conference tournament championship. The Tigers beat Memphis on Thursday to reach the NCAA regional finals. Citing unnamed sources, The Kansas City Star reported Friday that Missouri is ready to raise Anderson’s $850,000 annual salary to at least $1.3 million and renew his contract for five years. Anderson has been mentioned as a candidate for coaching vacancies at Alabama and Georgia.”
