mind you, this was not a typical kentucky team. the second youngest team in the sec beat the youngest sec team at home.

alabama did no more than what it should have done, defend home court.

but this was a john calipari coached kentucky squad. they did have more talent on the court.

we made a street fight out of it and they couldn’t take the heat.

andrew steele and moose (moussa gueye) were the difference.

the big winners were the fans. they packed the house for a mid-week game and went home winners. that hasn’t happened much lately.

still, making the tournament is a longshot. we lost to some pathetic teams at home in december and the conference, frankly, sucks. beating kentucky may or may not be a quality win. only time will tell.

but we beat those big blue bastards last night, didn’t we.

Many years ago a good friend of mine – Jackie Moon – was interested in buying the golden shower warriors, but then spree choked PJ Carlesimo and that killed that deal…

Personally I think that annoying Carlesimo deserved it. I’d have one of my boys toss him the radio in the bathtub if I knew where he showered…

Good win over an a-typical Kentucky team that’s on the NCAA tournament bubble at the moment. But still, a Kentucky team that blew Auburn out by over 20 in Auburn’s lush new arena just three nights earlier.
