Sure is awful quiet in here about the fact that Bama’s defensive coordinator is on the verge of possibly becoming Aubun’s head coach. I guess two different editorials have already been written: If he’s not hired, that version berates Auburn for being so stupid as to think that Smart would ever lower himself to taking such a pitiful job (despite the fact that he went to to Nashville and interviewed with the search committee for three hours yesterday); If he is hired, that version states how Saban controls every aspect of Bama’s defense and how Smart never really had anything to do with it and that Saban was looking to replace him anyway. I guess we’ll have to wait for the decision to see which version is coming.
