Week three is behind us, and the storylines are more bad officiating, Cam Newton losing and pouting, and the Patriots going 0-3 for the first time in…well, a long time.

But the officiating is the biggest story of all. The NFL official’s strike is seriously taking a toll on the season, and I can’t believe after Monday night’s fiasco ending to the Packers-Seahawks game it will go on much further. At the end of the game, the Seahawks were given credit for a touchdown that was clearly an interception, providing the end result Seattle 14, Green Bay 12. These are multi-million dollar corporations taking the field each weekend, and they aren’t going to let their revenue and/or product be affected by bad officiating much longer.

At any rate, some Crimson Tide notable performances from the weekend:

Roman Harper (NO) with 11 tackles in a losing effort to the Chiefs
Trent Richardson (CLE) had a meager performance following last week, but did get another touchdown.
Julio Jones (ATL) managed 5 catches and a touchdown
Kareem Jackson (HOU) with an 8 tackle performance in the defeat of Peyton Manning
Rolondo McClain (OAK) with 9 tackles in helping the Raiders to their first win
Mark Anderson (BUF) with a sack in the Bill’s win over the Browns

  1. Wallace Gilberry is no longer with Tampa Bay. He’s with the Bengals now and was credited with one tackle in their win over the Redskins. Thanks for the report. It’s handy having one place to go to find out how all the old Tiders are doing.

    1. Yeah, as long as the information is correct! Thanks for that insight Bama Steve! I’ll adjust. Charlie Peprah has also disappeared on me, and I keep thinking he’s going to show up somewhere. We’ll see.
