This week was about some NFL stars, old and new, coming back down to reality following big opening weekends, as well as Arizona getting to 2-0 by beating the Patriots in their own house on a missed New England field goal as time expired. The Colts won their first game in the post-Manning era, while Peyton himself put his new team in a hole that they couldn’t overcome with three…three…first quarter interceptions. Meanwhile his brother Eli also throw three picks, but passed for a staggering 510 yards in the process.
Some Crimson Tide notable performances:
• Trent Richardson (CLE) with a breakout performance of 19 rushes for 109 yards and a TD, and then 4 catches for 36 yards and another TD. His touchdown reception was ESPN’s #1 play of the NFL weekend.
• Demeco Ryans (PHI) with 7 tackles, 1 sack and an INT
• Mark Barron (TB) with an impressive 10 tackle performance
• Mark Ingram (NO) with 53 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown
• Courtney Upshaw (BAL) with 6 tackles
