Alabama football player DeAndrew White was injured last night in an altercation, according to a report from the Tuscaloosa News. From Cecil Hurt’s twitter, “UA wide receiver DeAndrew White hospitalized after altercation on The Strip. Details at http://Tidesports.com.” Also from Cecil Hurt on twitter, “Breaking: Alabama player hospitalized following campus altercation. http://alabama.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1356956.” Chase Goodbread updated the tweet with this information on twitter, “Tweet correction: Off-campus altercation. The Strip technically not on campus.”

DeAndrew White is a 6’0”, 185 lbs. wide receiver from Houston, Texas. He is a sophomore who redshirted during 2010 and a freshman during 2011. He had 14 receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He played in 11 games and two of those games were starts during the 2011 BCS championship campaign. The Vanderbilt game was his season highlight with two touchdown catches.

  1. What is the old saying, ” Nothing good ever happens after 1200 o’clock am”. Well, a few good things has happened for me after 1200. Back in the day. But ending up in the hospital was not one of them. Come on DeAndrew. You wanna’ get in the dog house too? Hope you are OK, but don’t you and the rest of team know the whole world is watching and just waiting for things like this ? RTR

  2. So true, Des – ain’t nothing good happening on Trouble Street after midnight – and, I have to say, I’ve been in the very spot where the fight took place very early in the morning in the past – and I shouldn’t have been there, either. Nothing good is going to happen at that hour in that place.
