SEC Commissioner Mike Slive told Missouri fans at the Kansas City Tiger Club that the SEC has begun look-in talks with its television partners in an effort to secure increased funds for the expanded Southeastern Conference.

According to Dave Matter via Twitter, “Slive: SEC now having look-in talks with TV partners to re-negotiate deals. Says, ‘I’m optimistic we can make Mike Alden very happy.’”

The SEC expanded to 14 teams with the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M. The expansion was based upon the idea that the attractive television markets in Missouri and Texas would yield a stronger and richer SEC.
