      2. Saban has said he can recuit a team full of first round picks in college. Saban is a college football coach. His success will be judged on how much he wins vs. how much he loses. As far as recruiting goes, Miles is no different. If he could recruit like Saban, he would be doing it. His job is on the line because the fan base expects him to out perform Saban.

         Saban is a great coach. His players love him, and they play hard for him. He tries to recruit the best talent, and maintain a high level of success each year. Anyone (like Mr. Moon) who thinks that wins and losses has nothing with keeping your job as a football coach is just being stupid. Let Chizik or Miles recruit to a lower standard, have a few 4-5 loss seasons and tell me how long you think they have a job.

         Flash, go back and read all of Josh Moons articles. You and that guy have a lot in common.

      $aban dares the recruits to not visit other schools. Then when they honor his wishes, he stabs them in the back and leaves them hanging.

      Auburn gave out 4 year schollies to all 20 recruits. $aban gave out 1 year schollies so that he can continue to manipulate these kids. Sooner or later the parents will realize what $aban is doing.

      Josh Moon says it well. Oh… and before you start the “Moon is a homer” defense …Auburn folks normally despise Moon.

   2. Bait and switch? The only recruits that got gray shirt offers were mainly the ones coming off of off-season surgery. The recruits that were potential gray shirts were informed about the situation well before signing day. They ALL knew it was a possibility, but they stayed committed anyway. The truth is, if Bama had 100 scholarships this year, they would still have to turn some recruits away.

      But you keep criticizing Saban and his recruiting. Most people who know better knows that Saban is very good at it, and Auburn can’t keep up with it. That is why you cry so much.

Bama did not beat LSU in Tiger Stadium, so they did not beat LSU in their house. Saban is close to building that college football ‘dynasty’ that only you can dream about.

         Bama has been loaded, and is loading up again. They also filled needs, and didn’t cheat to get them. Bama went into your state and took the best players. Went into Florida and took some of the best players. Got the best players in Alabama as well. Hence all the recruiting services (except 1) to think that Bama had the best class of anyone. And Bama, in the past few years under Saban, has put more players in the NFL than anyone.

         But like I have told you before: Anything less than a National Championship next season for LSU, and the wheels are going to fall off. You guys are putting so much pressure on Miles with all of your criticism and expectations of equaling or besting Saban. Y’all keep bitching and putting him in that position and he will leave, like Saban did.

         You keep bragging about 13-1 and how tough it was. Bama and LSU played a lot of the same teams. Only a few games difference, but Bama and LSU both handily beat everyone on their schedule. Except LSU got beat very badly by Bama in the last game, and Bama barely got beat in OT by LSU in the first game. That win over Georgia? Not as impressive as you want to think.

         Bama has proven to everyone in the country that they were, at the very least, better than LSU was this season.
         The only game that mattered the most was the National Championship game, and LSU lost in humiliating fashion.
         So ROLL TIDE! to you, Bama is going to be the team to beat for a while longer now, since they just beat the ‘best college team to win the toughest schedule ever’ team. Since Bama had to play such a team, I would say their schedule was pretty tough as well. So, slight Bama all you want, but the fact is, you just wish LSU was sitting in the position Bama is right now. Your jealousy is well known here.

            Besides comon opponents LSU beat Pac 12 and Rose Bowl Champions Oregon who ended the season ranked No. 4, they beat Big East and Orange Bowl Champions who ended the season ranked No. 17, they beat SEC East Champions Georgia who ended the season ranked No. 19, and oh yea they beat the BCS Champions Alabama on their own home field.

            Remind me again Brando who Bama beat besides our common opponents? LMAO

            The only thing that Alabama proved is that they were better than LSU on Jan 9th, just like LSU proved they were better than Alabama on Nov 5th making them TIED for the season 1-1. Each team got a Championship trophy for their win (although LSU had to play and beat an extra team to win theirs), the only difference being the name of the trophy.

            And to boot LSU accomplished all that they did this past year with less talent than Alabama. Roll TIED!

               I noticed two things: First, you didn’t say National Champions, because you would have started weeping again if you typed it, and second:
               Bama beat the hell out of LSU to win the BCS Championship, so at the time of LSUs win, Bama wasn’t the BCS Champion.

               But I see you have settled in and convinced yourself that LSU is the ‘greatest team of all time’ and that little loss on January 9th meant nothing like the OT win that LSU got on November 5th.

               Guess what? If you can’t win the National Championship game, you aren’t the greatest team ever. The only team you beat of quality that Bama didn’t also play was Oregon. And you played them early in the season, and lived off of their early mistakes. Much like all season, LSU won by being a fortunate and made a living on the other teams mistakes.

               Who had the best defense at the end of the year? Bama did. By far. One of the best defensive seasons in 30 years. And Bama’s offense was better than LSUs offense all season. And guess what? Most of them will be back next season.

               So what really happened on January 9th was LSU got exposed. Hunny Bunny got exposed, picked on, and abused. LSU was over rated all season. I think the better match-up would have been Bama vs. Oklahoma State. But I will say y’all did well this season, played over your head at times, but in the end, since you couldn’t win the National Championship, you will be remembered as under achieving. But no one, besides you, has any doubts who is better between LSU and Bama.

Brando I noticed you wrote a 7 paragraph response to my post but avoided answering my question as to who bama beat besides common opponents that was better than any of the non common opponents LSU beat. What’s the matter you imbarrased that you won the “National” Championship against such a weak ass schedule?

               You say the only team we beat of quality that Alabama didn’t play was Oregon. Even if you don’t consider top 25 ranked teams like Big East Champions West Virginia, who really beat the hell out of ACC Champions, Clemson, and Georgia, winner of the East division of the SEC, the toughest football conference in the nation, are quality teams they were far superior to any team Alabama beat that LSU didn’t also beat.
               I guess you were imbarrased to name Georgia Southern as the only quality non common opponent you beat. I don’t blame you I would be imbarrased of that too.

               So yes bama had the best statistical defense at the end of the year, but LSU’s was the second best statistical defense, which they accomplished against a schedule ranked the toughest in the nation at the end of last year. And they accomplished that even after given up 500+ yards to that West Virgina team that you do not consider a quality opponent. So if you think Bama’s defense was one of the best defenses in 30 years against your schedule, you should be impressed with what LSU’s defense accomplished with less talent than Alabama.

            3. No Flash. The schedule doesn’t matter as much as making and winning the National Title. Thats the main goal, right? LSU had a couple of games tougher than Bama. So what? Bama blew out everyone on their schedule, even LSU in the end. Like I acknowledged already: You put too much stock in the Oregon and Georgia game. LSU was over rated and Bama vs. OK St. would have been a better match-up.

               And you never answered my question:
               Which win would you rather have, A. a close win on November 5th, or B. a blowout in the National Championship game? Come on now, tell the truth. No spin. A or B?

Even if you think recruiting rankings are disposable hype, those remain championship odds.

          So combined, in the two games, the score was like 27-9. Yeah, still tied at 1-1. The one you got (won on the call of one fluke play) was November 5th, in a conference game. The one Alabama got (won in a historic BCS shut-out in a dominating fashion) was in the National Championship game. If you can’t see that there is a huge difference in the significance of those two games you are not grounded in reality. Your spin can’t alter the facts enough to convince anyone. Give it up, acknowledge Bama was the better team, and move on and hope for better results next time. Quit trying to re-write LSUs season by putting so much significance on the Oregon win, and a close game with Bama on the 5th of November. The one game that mattered the most, the goal of every team from the start of the season to make, the National Championship game, trumps everything else.                 But, much like the Bama-Auburn game last season, the LSU-Bama game on the 5th was a very close game. LSU won it on the field for sure. But were they better than Bama that day? Bama had more yardage and scoring opportunities, LSU made the most of theirs. So, yeah, I guess you are right. On the 5th, LSU was just ever so slightly better than Bama.

                But on the 9th, Bama beat the hell out of LSU, and there wasn’t any doubt who was the best. Rarely ever does a team get completely dominated like LSU did in a NC game.

Out coached, and out played in every phase of the game. The first game was a close defensive game that ended in regulation tied at 6. Then LSU won the field goal contest in OT. Very close game, even though moved the ball on LSUs defense pretty well and defensively played better than LSU as well. But that championship game, well, that was just a beat down in humiliating fashion. No way you can say the games are equal, when one was the National Championship game, and the other was not. Which win would you have rather had? Of course you won’t answer that question.

I never said “We beat the BCS Champions, so that means we are better”, I was merily stating a fact that during the season LSU beat quality teams like the Pac 12 and Rose Bowl champions, who beat the the Big 10 Champions, West Virgina and the Orange Bowl Champions who beat the ACC Champions and yes we beat the eventual BCS Champions. Those are facts. Try and refute them if you want but it just make you look dumb. All of this was done during the seasons while Bama was playing OCC pansies like Penn St. and Ga. Southern.

                Yes Bama was better than LSU on Jan. 9th and won the BCS, for which I have already congratulated them on that (I guess that wasn’t good enough for most of you bammers), but that does not mean that they were better than LSU durnig the season, and LSU proved that on Nov. 5th. Fact live with it! Just like I have to live with the fact that we didn’t show up and lost on Jan 9th.
