LSU is enjoying the bye week, but Coach Les Miles was on the SEC conference call this week to talk about the bye week for the Tigers and getting ready for the big game against Alabama. Miles talked about the game’s move from afternoon to primetime.
“We look forward to playing at night, and we recognize that is a great place to play and a historic venue and we care comfortable at night,” Miles said.
Miles talked about the use of statistics in getting a picture of an opponent.
The extra week gives LSU an opportunity at “self-eval” in order to eliminate LSU’s own tendencies.
Miles talked about the development of players including his quarterback and his running backs.
The bye week includes recruiting, rehab and rest for the players to “regain some freshness,” and work to make the team better—Miles referenced self-scouting.
“We play against LSU in this open week,” Miles said.
