The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to look at junior college players to fill needs, according to this video report from WIAT with Scout.com’s Andrew Bone.

Bone said Alabama continues to do well in junior college recruiting. Bone said Alabama could use junior college to “reload” at several of the defensive positions expected to head to the NFL. Bone said Alabama could find help at corner and at nose guard in the 2012 class.

Big time cornerback Travell Dixon, 6’2’ 200 lbs, out of Eastern Arizona Junior College is on the Alabama list; Dixon will be at Alabama for the LSU game on November 5, according to Bone. “Alabama is clearly the top school for him,” Bone said.

Deon Belue of Tuscumbia signed with Alabama in the 2010 class, but is now at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Belue is on track to graduate and could join Alabama since the staff has told him he has a spot, according to Bone.

Daniel McCullers, 6’6 and over 350 lbs., nose guard graduates in December, and “Alabama is in his top 2.” The other team in the top 2 is Tennessee.

In other recruiting news, Hueytown quarterback Jameis Winston is “still solidly committed to Florida State,” but he was at the Alabama game for homecoming.

“For now, Seminole fans can be happy,” Bone said.

  1. Don’t see Winston coming and sitting on the bench for 3 years behind Simms. Then again I don’t see Simms staying and sitting on the bench for 2-1/2 more years either. Been thinking. You know Bama has some special shyt just for LSWho in case it’s neccessary. We have yet to see Blake run the Pistol and all the options he would bring that we’ve never had before. But it would totally blow LSWho’s mind if in a dicey situation or an unexpected situation Saban were to a the last second run in Richarson and Lacy at halfbacks, Fowler at fullback with Blake Sims at QB and two tightends Williams and Smelly and line up in the Wishbone. Motherphucker, LSWho wouldn’t know whether to shyt or go blind. Then when LSWho puts 11 in the box and the whole defense attacks the line of scrimage let Richardson release and haul azz downfield while Blake pulls up and chunks him an uncontested TD pass. RTR!

    1. Crimsonite that sounds like some good shyt…Sure would love to see Saban pull something like that…That would blow Miles away and yes he would shyt and go blind at the same time..But like you say he does have some special stuff he has not run yet and i like you think it comes out Nov 5..RTR

  2. Is bout offa dis oil rig fo the day wooo weee honey child, gonna go home phuck my sis and have some cornDOG stew

  3. I hope Saban snags a couple of Juco O-linemen ala James Carpenter.Vlachos graduates. Boswell and McCullough, the top 2 backups graduate.Jones is draft eligible but I think he’s coming back.We could do better at RG than Steen but he is progressing.Cyrus K will be a stud, but Arie K has knee problems.Beyond that only Kellen Williams and Lindsey have seen much playing time this year.

  4. It’s a dream. Shades of Bear Bryant and the 70’s when Bama set the record for most wins in a ten year period with only a 10 game schedule. And it would work exactly like I laid it out. But the worst thing for LSWho is that the pass wouldn’t really be neccessary with two huge tightends to help block, the 3 best RB’s in the SEC and a lightening quick QB. Bama would simply run over, under, around and through at will. Even the national media is finally agreeing that LSWho has trouble stopping the run. And that’s against offenses they know how to play against. It’s not that far fetched an idea. The wishbone question has been presented to Saban on several occasions and even though he blew it off you know he has given it some thought. With our RB’s and #3 QB Blake being the perfect Wishbone type QB, it has to be an intruiging idea for a special circumstance. Bama has run nothing but a pure vanilla offense this year and McElwains playbook is loaded with Malzhan type stuff and we have the athletes to run them
    . RTR!

    1. “It’s a dream” – or an alcohol or drug induced fantasy.

“Shades of Bear Bryant and the 70′s” – still living in the past. Common for most alcoholics or drug addicts.

“And it would work exactly like I laid it out” – because you have the most brilliant football mind in the country not currently employed by a team. The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

“pass wouldn’t really be neccessary” – can’t believe its taken since 1906 for someone as smart as Crimsonite to come along to design an offense where the forward pass would no longer “really be necessary”. LMAO

“Even the national media is finally agreeing that LSWho has trouble stopping the run” – ” If they played this afternoon, LSU beats Alabama…. But right now LSU is the more complete team” written yesterday by CollegeFootball News national sports writer Barret Sallee on foxsports.com

“The wishbone question has been presented to Saban on several occasions and even though he blew it off you know he has given it some thought.” – you know he has because Crimsonite has told you he has and not does he have the most brilliant football mind not currently coaching but he is a mind reader also!

“With our RB’s and #3 QB Blake being the perfect Wishbone type QB” – It took Saban, obviously the second most intelligent football mind in the country, all spring and fall to determine who Alabama’s No. 1 quaterback should be, but hey lets play the No. 3 quarterback against LSU, the best team we will have played so for!?! Anbody else want some of what Crimsonite is smoking?

“Bama has run nothing but a pure vanilla offense” – Anybody want to guess what Saban would say if this was mentioned at one of his press conferences?

“McElwains playbook is loaded with Malzhan type” – Anybody from Auburn want to comment on this one?

  5. 5 years into the Saban program and the top recruiting classes in the nation 3 out of the 4 last years and Alabama has a need to “go heavily into JUCO for it’s 2012 class”. Really? Where is the problem with this great recruiting overthere in Alabama?

  6. Unlike Auburn, Bama has a full roster of scholly players with 4-5* ratings. Given that fact, needing JUCO players looks like a failure of the coaches to develop players. I guess more scholly players will get “processed”.

    1. Or the entire defense goes in the NFL draft.

Probably not the entire defense, but I think that makes the point. It is laughable for anyone to say Saban and his staff do not develop talent.

I think it is interesting that Saban has been forced to find JUCO players even with his strong recruiting and player development. What makes it most interesting is the fact these players play the nose and corner positions. These are critical elements of Saban’s defense–particularly the nose.

This could be seen as the one big drawback of the 3-4 defense.

Of course, drawback is a funny way to say it for a team that has posted amazing defensive stats since 2007.

  7. Blake showed in the spring gasme that he was equal to AJ and Phillip. Right now he is playing #4 RB and Wildcat QB in addition to being the #3 QB. He is completely different from AJ and Phillip who are Dual Threat but neither are truly a threat to run. Blake was recruited as an athlete and besides throwing well he is fast and agile and quick. He is the image of a wishbone QB or for us a Wildcat QB. Much like Steadman Shealy was. So for a surprise formation, yes he would be the choice over AJ and Phillip dumbass Flash. As for Bear, we totally understand that when you have no history you cannot comprehend the actions of those who do. Bwaa haww haww! As for JUCO players, in ’08 Saban had an emergency need for an experienced nose guard the most important position in the 3-4 so he got Cody. Last year because of injuries and Green’s suspension he needed an experienced DB so he got Menzie. The both became All Americans. So it now make perfect sense to recruit JUCO’s with 2 years experience at critical positions.

  9. Maybe we ll get lucky and just happen to find a once in a generation player in juco who will want to come play for us for free even though someone else might be willing to give him 6 figures.

  10. JUCO sounds good to me ..Hell what college does not look at JUCO players?? All do and try to get the best players possible…This is 2011 and University”s want to win now not later..If they can pick up a few they will in a heartbeat..Hell Dickflash just look at little brother with SCAM…Had to win now and done a dam good job at it..Sorry BASTARDS….Phuck you any how Dickflash ..Crawl back under cheese dicks desk and get a mouth full……..RTR
