T.G.I. Friday’s Entrée’s for One are a great match for football

This post brought to you by T.G.I. FRiDAY’S. All opinions are 100% mine.

Taste matters. My favorite restaurants are the Bright Star with its trademark Greek Tenderloin or when I’m in Florida the amazing Paradis at Rosemary Beach with its Crème Brulee. But, when the wife is out of town on a business trip (which happens often) and the game is just about to start, what to do? Running out isn’t an option with kickoff moments away.

I have found the perfect solution. T.G.I. Friday’s Entrees for One. I was fortunate enough to try the new meal for free thanks to the company.

And I’m glad I did.

I’ve found a great way to keep hunger from interfering with the football game and have a tasty meal.  You can find out more about Entrees for One T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One” for yourself. Read on for my experience.

I tried the Sizzling Chicken Fajitas. It combines grilled chicken with bell peppers and onions. It is served with rice that includes black beans and corn with cheese. It is familiar Mexican food with a nice combination of spices.

Prep time was under six minutes. The first step was a two-minute heating on high; this is less time than a typical commercial break during a Saturday round of college football. Stir and heat for another two minutes. Let stand a minute then remove and heat the tortillas for 45 seconds.

Now, you are ready to eat.

One tip, I prefer adding a bit of salsa or guacamole to my fajitas. You have many great choices for this, so I won’t belabor the point with many recommendations. Since I found T.G.I. Friday’s Entrees for One at my local Publix and local Wal-Mart, you have an ample selection of salsa in both stores. If you don’t make your own guacamole then there are options for that too. I thought combining the food with a little side of salsa added to the experience.
