You have to be impressed with the offensive firepower of Arkansas. The Razorbacks rallied to defeat Texas A&M in the Southwest Classic. Here are some game notes courtesy of Arkansas Media Relations to put into perspective the record-breaking day:

Individual Notes
Jarius Wright’s 281 receiving yards broke the UA single-game receiving yards record, bettering the previous record of 204 yards set by Mike Reppond vs. Rice in 1971, and is the second-highest single-game total in SEC history. Wright is just the third Razorback in school history with a 200-yard receiving game. Two of the three 200-yard receiving games have come under head coach Bobby Petrino.

Tyler Wilson passed for a school-record 510 yards, breaking the previous Arkansas record of 409 set by Ryan Mallett vs. Vanderbilt last season. Wilson’s 510 yards passing is the fifth-highest single-game total in SEC history. Wilson’s total makes him just the second Razorback to throw for 400 yards in a single game. All five 400-yard passing games have come since 2009.

Jarius Wright tied an Arkansas single-game record with 13 receptions, equaling the mark previously set by James Shibest against SMU in 1984 and Wear Schoonover against Baylor in 1929. Entering today’s game, his previous career high was six, which he had done four times, including in the 2011 season opener vs. Missouri State.

Jarius Wright moved into third on Arkansas’ all-time career receiving yards list. After totaling 281 receiving yards, Wright now has 2,295 in his career.

Jarius Wright broke a tie with Joe Adams for third on UA’s all-time career 100-yard receiving games list. Wright finished the game with 281 receiving yards and now has seven 100-yard receiving games in his career and two this season.

Jarius Wright moved into a tie for fourth on Arkansas’ all-time career touchdown receptions list with the 16th of his career on a 68-yard touchdown reception from Tyler Wilson.

Jarius Wright moved into ninth on UA’s all-time career receptions list with 13 in today’s game. Wright now has 130 catches in his career.

Tyler Wilson completed a career-high 30 passes, bettering his previous career high of 25 set at Auburn in 2010. The 30 completions are tied for second on Arkansas’ all-time single-game list.

Broderick Green made his first appearance of the 2011 season and scored a pair of touchdowns, including the game-winning score from three yards out with 1:41 left in the game. Green now has five career multiple-touchdown games. Green finished the game with 25 yards on nine carries.

Greg Gatson recorded his first interception this season and second of his career in the first quarter. The Razorbacks have three interceptions this season.

Tevin Mitchel recorded the first fumble recovery of his career and the first for the Razorbacks this season in the third quarter. Mitchel set a new career-high with 13 tackles, including nine unassisted stops.

Team Notes
The 18-point deficit overcome by Arkansas equals the largest under head coach Bobby Petrino. Arkansas also overcame an 18-point deficit against Louisiana-Monroe in the 2008 season.

Arkansas broke the UA single-game record with 510 passing yards, bettering the previous record of 447 set vs. Missouri State in 2009.

With the win, Arkansas improves to 3-0 at Cowboys Stadium and becomes the first collegiate team to win three games at Cowboys Stadium.

Arkansas has now won three straight games over Texas A&M, marking the Razorbacks’ first three-game winning streak over the Aggies since 1977-82. UA now leads the all-time series against Texas A&M 41-24-3.

Arkansas improves to 4-1 on the season, marking the first time since 1988-89 Arkansas has started back-to-back seasons with a record of 4-1 or better.

Arkansas improves to 15-1 (.938) in regular season non-conference games under head coach Bobby Petrino and have now won 13 consecutive non-conference games in the regular season.

The Razorbacks threw a touchdown pass for the 22nd straight game, the longest active streak in the SEC.

Arkansas had three touchdown drives of less than two minutes in the game. For the season, the Razorbacks now have 10 touchdown drives of less than two minutes. UA has 72 touchdown drives of less than two minutes under head coach Bobby Petrino.

Arkansas was 5-for-5 in the Critical Zone (inside the 20-yard line). Broderick Green scored on a 1-yard touchdown rush and Zach Hocker made a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter. Hocker also made a 32-yard field goal in the third quarter and Ronnie Wingo Jr. caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Wilson in the third quarter. Broderick Green scored the game-winning touchdown on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter. This season, UA is 20-for-20 in the Critical Zone with 15 touchdowns (.750).

The Razorbacks forced an interception and recovered one fumble, marking the first time this season they forced multiple turnovers in a game.

    to see Coach Saban get in the face of our kickers like he has a certain quarterback in the past.

    yeah, that would be nice.

  2. No doubt our kickers suck in comparison to many teams. thank God for a superior coverage unit and still the Gayturds are getting far to short a field after each punt and kickoff. But the D settled down big time. If Brantley is out their azz is even more grass cause the freshman backup has been in 3 games and is 5 for 10 passing. We got phucked on the QB fumble and TD return. I told ya’ll 35-10! RTR!
