The rosters are in for the 2011 NFL season. Each team had to whittle its roster down to the league required 53 players. In doing so eight Tiders got pink slips. But twenty-four made the cut.

Here’s the complete run down:

Arizona Cardinals
Brodie Croyle, QB – cut (Is this the end for the injury-prone Croyle, or will he emerge somewhere else?)
Rashad Johnson, DB

Atlanta Falcons
Julio Jones, WR
Mike Johnson, OL
John Parker Wilson – cut (Fairly surprising, a solid back-up; retained on practice squad however.)

Baltimore Ravens
Terrence Cody, DT
Jarret Johnson, LB
Chavis Williams, LB – cut (Valid effort by a Tide overachiever; retained on practice squad.)

Buffalo Bills
Marcell Dareus, DT

Chicago Bears
Mark Anderson, DE

Cincinnati Bengals
Evan Mathis, OT
Andre Smith, OT

Cleveland Browns
Ramzee Robinson, DB – cut

Detroit Lions
Anthony Madison, DB – cut (A surprisingly long NFL career comes to a close?)

Green Bay Packers
Charlie Peprah, DB

Houston Texans
Antoine Caldwell, OT
Kareem Jackson, DB
DeMeco Ryans, LB

Kansas City Chiefs
Javier Arenas, DB
Wallace Gilberry, DE
Bobby Greenwood, DL – cut (The pride of Prattville moves on.)
LeRon McClain, FB

New England Patriots
Brandon Deaderick, DE

New Orleans Saints
Mark Ingram, RB
Roman Harper, DB

New York Jets
Greg McElroy, QB
Lorenzo Washington, DE – cut

Oakland Raiders
Rolando McClain, LB
Justin Smiley, OL

Seattle Seahawks
James Carpenter, OL

St. Louis Rams
Marquis Johnson, DB

Washington Redskins
Anthony Bryant, DT – cut

Here’s a freebie: Worst name of a player who was cut – Dallas WR Tysson Poots. Somebody said he was stinking it up at practice so he had to go. Man what an unfortunate last name.
