What do you headline on your major news website on one of the busier days? A good story about Alabama’s basketball team in the NIT? The scandal rocking Auburn with allegations of student-athletes receiving illegal benefits like cash for sacks in the Iron Bowl?

Of course not. If you are al.com, a division of Advance Internet of Advance Publications you headline how this Auburn scandal is linked to Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban. Below is a screen capture of the website at about 11:30 p.m. on the night the HBO Real Sports special on Auburn’s alleged cheating aired.

Good grief. So much for journalism in this state.

  1. Un. Freaking. Real.

Do we need any more evidence to condemn the state media for unadulterated bias in favor of the barn?

  2. Oh hell, and Saban is supposed to know everytime some rogue a$$hole offers a recruit money? If he had known he would have had the bastard drawn and quartered. Saban is a glory freak. He want’s to leave his mark, and he knows damn well there aint no glory in winning by cheating. Barnturds who want to lavish their Iron Bowl* and NC* over us need to take note. What you accomplished last year don’t mean diddly, cause you cheated! RTR!

  3. We cheated, we cheated, whaaaaaaa!!!! You cheated, proof of Dareus, textbook scandal, etc. Look in the mirror. Cheaters never win, thats why you didnt.

LOSER, LOSER, LOSER, 28-27 in your keyster.

  4. The Bham News is a running joke. I guess that’s what happens when you put an Auburn grad in charge….Auburn Journalism is an oxymoron.

  5. Nicket, give it up. Coaches paying players and paying recruits dads is a lot worse than the textbook thing, or going to a party. Bama went through the NCAA, it was handled appropriately, just like what is about to happen to Auburn. Auburn is slowly being exposed for what they did. Bama had nothing to do with it. Blame your own. Be proud. So far this year: 4 armed robbers, 4 ex-players claiming pay-for-play, NCAA still investigating Cams dad. That stuff right there is worse than anything Bama has done. What’s next? Quit crying and accept the truth. Auburn has multiple serious issues to deal with. Comparing them with Bama is just a weak attempt to deaden the blow that is coming. Does it make you feel better?
