Recruiting reform needed in college football
A former Auburn football star revealed what everyone already knew about major college football recruiting—it is a sewer. According to this report former Auburn player Troy Reddick said on an upcoming HBO Real Sports special, “I was well aware that they’re going to throw women at you, they’re going to throw alcohol at you. Your player hosts are going to try to get you drunk and try to get you to sleep with somebody.”

This screams of a need for real reform in recruiting. Should the NCAA look to ban official visits? What about unofficial visits? Or perhaps visits should only involve meeting with the head coach and academic representatives and not hot coeds and current football players?
