Conflicted is the word you could use to describe Cyrus K.

Watch this video of Cyrus with his family following his decision* today from Scout.com and you tell me if that family is on the same page with his decision.*

“I have a lot of doubts (about my decision).”

To date, no letter of intent paperwork has been faxed to Auburn University, and a final decision could be days away.

Truly the most bizarre announcement I’ve ever seen. Dad doesn’t appear happy; Cyrus doesn’t seem at peace. And Cyrus doesn’t seem to be wearing orange and blue any time soon.

I think Calloway and Cyrus were to be the ones that Auburn would get excited for, not because of they caliber players they are, but because of the perception that the stole away some of Bama’s class. Which ever way Cyrus chooses I am fine with it. He would be a great addition at Bama, no doubt. But Bama is pretty loaded and Auburn has plenty of potential for early playing time. I could understand his decision, but it doesn’t sound like Cyrus or Calloway liked the idea of being at Auburn once it actually came out of their mouths. Who could blame them for that?

  2. Auburn plays off of immature emotion…both on and off the field…which teens are accustomed to.

    Parents want level-headedness and maturity, which is what CNS’s brand of Alabama football provides.

    There’s your reasoning for Cyrus K’s quandry. IMO, the parents win out and their son is prepared for life under the tutelage of Nick Saban.

  3. With Cyrus, I HIGHLY doubt he signs with Auburn. Not saying he will sign with Bama, but after today and what I have read I really think Auburn is out of the picture. I could be wrong, obviously, but when a kid says he felt like he made the wrong decision, that says a lot.

    I’m predicting he signs with Bama, with Iowa having an outside shot.

    That’s why in spite of the Bams I love the coach. This man looked into the camera in the game where Bam led 24-0, and ADMITTED it wasn’t enough points. This coach SAT ON ESPN and watch AUBURN UNIVERSITY make the Ducks Oregon donors with some class, some dignity. And responded in the nights end in a complimentary way. At AUBURN we know ONE PLAYER DOES NOT a team make, and as much as IT USED TO BE SAID AUBURN only wants to beat BAM while BAM wants to win championships, ironically, even with Nick Saban…seems like everyday in everyway, BAM only wants to BEAT AUBURN.   17. 24, you need to wake up. The ride is over, and Bama and Auburn have two very good classes. Bama just adds to their stockpile, while Auburn is plugging up the MANY holes. The difference is, Bama could lose any of the assistant coaches they have, and get the same consistency, day in and day out. Once Malzahn, Trooper leaves from Auburn, which they will for a better job and promotion, Auburns recruiting and offense will take a direct hit. Chizik made some good hires, maybe he will continue to do so, but then again, he is only two games over .500. Auburn will be lucky to win double digit games next season.
