Alabama Football vs. Auburn – Postgame Alabama Quotes
Head Coach Nick Saban
Opening statement:
First of all you have got to give Auburn’s team a lot of credit for coming back in the game and doing a great job in the second half. This team’s been challenging all year in terms of the progress that they have made and the maturity that they’ve gained. I’m pleased with the progress that we made, but we didn’t finish the game today. When you play against good teams you’re going to have to play for 60 minutes. We knew that we were going to have to do that in the second half. These kinds of teams don’t go away and there are a lot of lessons to be learned out there about how important finishing is and continuing to do things correctly. There’s a lot to learn about how you ensure success, and to ensure success, you’ve got to finish things. You’ve got to continue with the intensity and the passion.

I thought our players came out with a great plan in the first half and did a good job of executing it. They squandered some opportunities which were critical to the outcome of the game. Things like fumbling the ball right before the half. Another time we had the ball right inside the 20 when Mark (Ingram) fumbled. We got down there in the red zone a couple times and couldn’t score and had to kick field goals.

We’re pleased with the progress that this team made. We’re not always pleased. Are we satisfied with the results that we got, especially in this game, which means so much to so many people? I’m responsible for the fact that we didn’t finish the way we needed to. We didn’t make the plays that we needed to at the end of the game.

Our fans have been tremendous to us all year and they were tremendous to us today. It was a great atmosphere out there and this team will learn and grow from this. Hopefully when we get another opportunity we’ll be able to be a better team because of some of the lessons we learned today. It was tough for us.

We lost Julio (Jones) with a bruised knee. In the second half Hanks had bruised ribs. So our receiving corps was a little bit down. It was a little bit tough for us. Greg (McElroy) has a concussion, he’s going to be okay. I think he’s okay. It’s nothing serious. He’s checked out good, so we don’t have any issues or problems from that standpoint.

On the play of the offensive line:
Some of the time we did a good job, and some of the time we allowed too much pressure. We totally whiffed on the sack right before the half that caused the fumble, which took points off the board. I thought we moved the ball well; moving the ball was not the issue. We had enough offensive yards, we just didn’t capitalize when we got in the red zone.

On limiting Auburn’s rushing attack:
In the first half, I thought we did a really good job. In the second half, it wasn’t that we were doing things that were different, they just did a little better job. Their backs did a better job. They made a couple of, not big play runs, but runs. I thought the difference in the game was the big plays. The big play on the second play of the second half, we had it defended and misplayed the ball. Explosive plays are something they do extremely well. One of our goals was to stop the run, but not give up explosive plays. We were in the split safety coverage on that play, so we should be able to defend the pass. Even though we stopped the run, we didn’t get it done because we didn’t stop the explosive plays. We didn’t stop the run as well in the second half as we needed to. We didn’t create any negative down-and-distance in the second half.

On the difference between the offense in the first and second halves :
I thought we did a really good job of keeping them off balance in the first half. We threw the ball effectively, and we wanted to do the same thing in the second half, but we kind of lost our receivers at one point. We tried to run a little bit because of the circumstance we ended up in. Their defense played better in the second half, and we didn’t execute as well when we had opportunities. You have to give them some credit. We did a really good job of attacking them on the perimeter in the first half, and we probably didn’t do that enough in the second half.

On the first half play of quarterback Greg McElroy and wide receiver Julio Jones :
They did a great job. That was about as fine a first half of offensive football we have played in a long time against a good team. But the two scoring opportunities that we squandered were the difference. The ball was on about the 4-yard line right before the half, and Mark (Ingram) had the ball on about the 20-yard line when the ball was punched out and rolled through the back of the end zone to give them the ball back. Those two opportunities were huge. Relative to the production we had, we didn’t get as many points as we could have.

#41 Courtney Upshaw Linebacker
On what allowed him a career game:
I just had the mindset to go in and dominate. It’s Auburn. I’m like an hour away from Auburn and the whole town is full of Auburn fans. I just wanted to get out and prove that Alabama is the real deal. We just couldn’t pull out the win.

On what allowed the defense to stop Cam Newton from running the ball:
We were motivated. We had that one drive that nothing was going to keep us from getting to him. We knew that we had to shut him down from all the talk about Cam and the Auburn Tigers. We knew that if we shut him down we would have a big chance to win.

#57 Marcell Dareus Defensive Lineman
On what was different in the second half:
We just lost focus as a team. It wasn’t so much just the front. I think we lost focus as a team just getting after it, fitting our gaps and getting the run fits. We just lost focus

On what was working early in the game:
Anticipation. We were ready to go. We came in at half time and made some adjustments. Some people got comfortable and started getting lackadaisical going out there and doing other things instead of what they were doing the first time – not keeping the intensity to stay focused.

#73 William Vlachos Offensive Lineman
On not being able to put Auburn away:
It’s extremely frustrating. We came out firing, hitting on all cylinders, but credit to them. They fought back and made the plays that they had to make to win the game. When we go and look at the film we’re going to see that they’re a very good team, but it’s going to be the stuff that we did that kept us from winning the game and continuing to score points on offense. It’s extremely frustrating with the miscues in the red zone that we had, but those aren’t one guy’s fault, that’s everybody’s fault. We have a lot to play for still. Hopefully we’ll get to go to a good bowl game and hopefully we’ll be able to take advantage of the time we have coming up to get better and continue to improve.

On the passing game early:
They had some weaknesses in their secondary, but we knew for us to be able to throw the ball we were going to have to block them up front. Overall, I think we did a good job with their talented front. (Nick Fairley) made some plays on a couple of miscues. There are a couple miscues where he maybe got a sack or two – and the sack and fumble was huge – but I think overall we protected decently well when we threw the ball. We didn’t protect as well as we needed to in the second half, and there was a lot of stuff open. We just have to get to the film room and watch to see what we need to do better.

#22 Mark Ingram Running Back
On the game:
I feel like we played with a lot of effort, but we just didn’t finish. The program is built on finishing, and I feel like we gave them the game – it’s that simple.

On the offense in the first half:
Things were clicking. Everybody was in sync. The timing was good, and we were just executing the plays that were called.

On how the team can rebound:
Get better. We need to put this past us and put it behind us and get ready for the bowl game.

  1. Wow.
    It was a great game.
I dont think auburn is a GREAT team.
They are ok. And they have benefitted from some scheduling and solid sown payments for some key players but GREAT? No. Not even close.
I expected better for a team with 24 seniors. And a QB who will go pro next season.

  2. Wow.

I agree it was a great game. I am not sure about the response above though – when he says Auburn isn’t a great team is he saying that Bama just lost a 24 point lead to a bad team?

Gimme a break. Both of these teams are great and was a hard fought battle by both.

  3. Not great but good enough. I guess you would say this is a great alabama team that was suppose to be unbeatable this year and a team with a 20 game home win streak that was unstopable all I can say it is GREAT to be an Auburn Tiger. Don;t talk trash about the Tigers because your team could not finish

  4. I’m a hardcore Bama fan, but you can’t hate on that win. We dropped the ball. Hate to sound like Denny Green, but we had ’em, and we let ’em off the hook. So to say that they’re not a “great” team pretty much says that we’re terrible. I don’t buy that.

I think that we have a better team, they just wanted the win more. Simple.

  5. Thatguy you are right these are two very good teams no matter who won that game it wouldn’t change the facts .. either of these teams would probally beat most teams in the nation 9 out of 10 games. I’m an AU fan but I can’t be more proud for the state of Alabama that it has 2 of the top 5 teams in the nation… that what makes this a great rivarly

  6. Can I have at least one bama fan admit that the call on Fairley for excesive celebration was a joke??

  7. BWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA……………!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go Auburn, shut the Bammer Moron Nation up once and for all!!!!

Hey Egg Head White, UP YOURS!

  8. JD – HATE TO SAY IT – SUCH A SHAME BUT EVERY GAME I’VE SEEN SINCE 1985 IS FIXED AGAINST THE BETTING PUBLIC – THE BOOKIES DO NOT LOSE…CHECK VEGASINSIDER.COM AND WATCH THE FLOW OF THE LAST BIG MONEY TO COME IN…TAKE INTO ACCOUNT UNDER OVER AND HALF SPREADS AS WELL….ACCEPT ANECDOTAL TRACKING THE ONLY PROOF I HAVE IS A FRIEND OF MINE WHO WORKED FOR MAFIA PEOPLE IN NEW ORLEANS TOLD ME BEFORE THE 2008 SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ..THE MAFIA TOLD HIM THAT THEY HAD CALLED SABAN AND HAD ASKED HIM TO FIX IT BUT HE SAID NO BUT THEY SAID ALL IS COOL WE HAVE THE BAMA CORNERBACKS-I POSTED ALL THIS ON AL.COM RIGHT BEFORE GAME – THE GAME TURNED ON BAD PLAY BY THE CB’S AND ARENAS CATCHES ONE KICKOFF RIGHT AT THE BOUNDARY AND STEPS OUT DOOMING THE DRIVE….

GAMES ARE FIXED BY BIG PLAYS, DEFLECTED PASSES,MUFFS AND QB FUMBLES DROPPED PASSES ..OFFSIDES/PROCEDURE PENALTIES..TURNOVERS ..BALLS GET POPPED OUT FROM BEHIND…WATCH DEFENSE HAVE ALLIGATOR ARMS AND FOOLISH DIVE WHIFFS …MISSED FG’S

WWE NCAA DIV 1A ONLY WHERE THERE IS WAGERINGS/ NFL – ALL THE SAME THING BUT DIFFERENT.

TAKING MONEY FROM AGENTS AND BOOSTERS BUT NOT GAMBLERS RIGHT?

BOTTOM LINE=ALL THESE KIDS NEED MONEY AND THE POOR KIDS ESPECIALLY

OMG AND VAN KIFFINS 4 MISSES CHIP FGS AND XPOINTS VS ARK WAS A CLASSIC

  9. Well I’ve said WTF more than once In this game,,,,and I’ve seen what I thought was some blantely missed tackles in some of our games, and their were times when we could have made the play and was stunned when it looked like we didn’t even try,,,guess what always by the same players,,,WTF

  10. IF U WATCH THE GAME AGAIN-I KNEW WE WERE DOOMED WHEN I SAW THE BAMA OFFENSIVE DRIVE AT 14-0.

  11. I’VE NEVER REALLY STUDIED MONEYLINE GAMBLING THAT TREND COULD BE EVEN MORE INDICATIVE OF WINS STRAIGHT UP

  12. I hate it, but we blew a hell of a lead. We let them come back. All of a sudden, we can’t block, can’t do squat

  13. Based on the posts thus far – I’m happy to see that I must be alone in thinking this was perhaps the worst choke job by any Tide Team in recent history. The 2010 Team never came close to realizing its potential. At the very least an out-manned Mike Shula Team would have shown a lot more fight in the second half of the game. Hopefully next season, CNS will focus on the things that appeared (for a while) to have Alabama Football headed back toward elite status. Of course this will mean that we won’t see as much of him in movies, commercials, ESPN, etc.

  14. Oh yea we totally changed what we were doing, we had them running all over the place, a total a## whooping then we stoped doing what was working again WTF

  15. FIX, BUD,ALL GAMES NFL DIV 1A GAMES – I’VE TOLD PEOPLE SINCE 1985 AND THEY THING I AM CRAZY – TIL ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH SEASON AND I AM 45-3 AND THEY SAY U R DEAD ON

  16. LOL love it so yall think the game was decided to get the bookies rich LOL just cant contain myself i guess the refs had there money on the other side so not one bama fan can say the fairley excessive celebration penalty was bogus????

  17. Question: Will Greg Mcelroy remember the 3 loses of his career after the body slam by a 160lb corner back?
Question: Should we nick name Julio “old stone hands”.
Question: Will Gene Chizik ask Nick Saban for acting classes for his new movie Gene Chizik GAME CHANGER?.

  18. Question for Snappa Head:

Will Auburn fans still talk about this game when the NCAA forces you to forfeit for playing an ineligible player?

  19. FAIRLEY PENALTY WAS LEGIT = HIGH STEPPING SPECIFICALLY AGAINST THE RULES….

THE FIX – MY SCRIPT ONLY – ALL D1A GAMES AND NFL FIXED SHAVED FO SHO

PASS INTERFERENCE ON JONES NOT CALLED WHEN COUNTED …AND OTHER PI’S ON AU NOT CALLED

  20. The SEC released a statement on that call.

I wouldn’t have called it. However, Fairley has only himself to blame with all that celebrating in other games. The officials were clearly told to watch him closely due to the dirty play in past games and his celebrations.

  21. The correct answer it .. YES IT WAS BOGUS enough said … I wouldnt expect anything else from a bama fan give me a break man

  22. His track record drew the flag. It was a judgment call. Again, I wouldn’t have thrown it, but Fairley is a piece of trash that shouldn’t have even been playing in that game.

  23. since au is a swimming school i would not expect an au fan to know the rules and since when does au football follow the rules on or off field….youtube.com following tiger..what’s next – will the lsu ark winner be in the sec cg = stay tuned monday or sooner

  24. Hello capstonereport or SHANE…
Do I hear you making another prediction.
Shane has made some great predictions this year. He predicted BAMA was a DYNASTY. He predicted BAMA could beat several NFL teams. Come on SHANE …..
Snappa is a BAMA fan but I am able to live in the real world not fantasy land..

  25. We don’t run Shane’s columns any longer. You can find them elsewhere on the net, and linked in our sidebar.

I don’t know what he has predicted.

  26. Fairley has done nothing but play for the wrong team in this state if he played for AL he would be an all american who plays with heart and never gives up but instead he plays for auburn so therefore he will be an all american who is dirty but us who have seen every game auburn played this year knows the truth and I will take 2 dt’s like him every year

  27. if fairley played for bama i would renounce that dogsheet even more bama has classier standards

  28. and crimson hannah get over it like my man Gene said Cam is an eligble player to play for Auburn and he played great

  29. Spoken like a fan there Brad.

The film doesn’t lie. It would be one thing if it were only Alabama fans saying it, but when other coaches are complaining about all the dirty stuff….

maybe you should take the blinders off and see the truth.

  30. bama has renounced dubose and everyone connected with means scam…au well they worship their convicted scum and has jumped up and bit them on the azz – time is short

  31. lol hannah why would you do that to fairley?? and dont even think you can fool me you would have a statue of him if he played for UAT

  32. Capstone what other dirty stuff are you talking about name me more than two mistakes the kid made in over 600 snaps?? and I want specifics

  33. Lots of holding in that game. On the inside but very noticable, Their were plenty of no calls. Not just a fan opinion, because it was their and it was going on all day with no calls

  34. More than 2 just in the UGA game. Youtube has plenty of examples from that game including using his facemask to cut the QBs chin and neck. Oh, and you can ask Mark Richt about it.

  35. today meaning with the ncaa already convicting him unlikely he will be our qb next week if au is allowed to play.

  36. Cappy, he’s not ineligible. Seriously, you can wish it all you want to, but it’s not happening. Auburn has done, and continues to do, their due diligence on this. You got beat. Your team is 9-3. Time to quit whining and sack up.

  37. BeSerious,

You are hoping he is eligible, but he wouldn’t be playing at any other school with the evidence already in the public domain.

  38. I am transplant from WI, and I am now an Auburn fan. I never knew football could be this intense, but some of the stuff said here and on the radio (mostly by folks like Shane) is insane.

Are Alabama fans seriously accusing some of their players of fixing games. Wouldn’t that be an offense even more egregious than taking money to play well?

Common folks, it was a fantastic game. Alabama is still a very good team — they just got beat by a team that might be very good as well.

  39. Mark Barron must have gotten payed good money for over running that long touchdown pass..Because that was a dam sure INT for any one else..RTR

  40. I really don’t know where to start – oh yeah I do! What the fuc* was the barner interior COMING AT MCELROY’S FACE every freaking play – where was the line? Just seems he wasn’t being protected enough even in the 2nd quarter. This is just one of many of things I want to discuss.

  41. “no just me – every game in d1a and nfl is fixed shaved”

Sorry, but that is a stupid statement.

  42. do ur homework – track the games on vegasinsider.com and determine the heavy money of the public is on – then take the opposite…the bookies don’t lose

  43. Hey Damage,
How about good game. You got beat. I wish Bama the best and hope you beat the crap out of whatever team you play in the bowl games. My god, grow a pair and be a man.

  44. Hannah:
You are accusing Alabama players of taking money from gamblers! Name them! I am sorry, but I think you are an idiot. Your team lost. It was a great game and it was decided on the field, not in Las Vegas.

  45. at 14-0 the offensive drive with the fairley celebration – i could tell by play calling we were slamming the brakes on the offense – fix was in…we were doomed and it “would not end well for ua” as the ncaa investigator said ” this will not end well for au” in regards to scamscum

  46. i’ve ranted about this since 85 – here there everywhere…no one believes at first but everybody msees the light after half a season…3 games we lost all favorites and late money came down on bama in all 3 games

  47. Hannah:
So, let me get this straight. You are accusing Alabama’s Offensive Coordinator of throwing the game. For what? Money? Do you know how stupid that sounds?

You can’t harp on Newton at the same time you are accusing your own team of fixing games, unless you don’t care about how stupid and hypocritical that makes you look.

You basically say that every game is fixed — why do you care if you know that to be true? You wouldn’t be a wrestling fan too?

  48. You have ranted and they do have medicine for that. GG. Just grow a pair for the first time in your life and say it.

I didn’t play the “moral victory” card last year. We got beat and I wished Bama good luck in the NC.

  49. watch some of the long runs in every game and it looks like wwe with the fake dives and whiffs…track it urself

  50. Crimson (and clover?):

It is obvious that our differences in how we perceive the world makes any kind of reasonable discourse between us (and also you with any sane person) impossible.

Your tacit admissions put you in a weird position. Are you proud of last year’s BCS(WWE) National Championship? You believe (know?) Alabama has coaches and players that get paid by gamblers to shave and at times throw games. That is somehow better than (allegedly) paying players?

I suspect you never went to Alabama, because anyone capable of getting in (28 ACT) would be smart enough to not contradict themselves as badly as you do.

  51. vegasinsider.com first half spread went from 11 to 12.5 meaning money was on oregon therefore oreg would not beat spread in first half = bingo…the second half spread was the opposite – bingo////over all game spread was all over the place////

  52. that’s how the game is played….yes somewhat proud because generally the best teams get the best point spreads to be able to win the game outright or room enough to win game outright without beating the spread

  53. It is all fixed, but you still seem to care. Let me guess, you cry when Hulk Hogan loses.

You can’t believe it is all fixed and at the same time believe that your team of shavers and fixers won the BCS(WWE) National Championship last year.

  54. Good for you, it is a very good school, but I think you are crazy with all this Vegas stuff.

I am sorry about the personal attacks, but this all seems crazy to me. I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I just want evidence, and I don’t believe anyone at Alabama is working with gamblers in order to fix games.

  55. all fixed – and of course no wwe…sports is still somewhat fun to watch – athletes still execute offense and defense which determines spreads in long run…for instance because of the respect for bama bama was 4 point favorite – so it might have been possible for bama to win 30-28 with the under over fixed at an under right above 58???but only talking to bookies or seeing their ledgers can i truly know what the design was ???

late money came in on gators and longhorns
but it took good play by bama to get in that position

  56. not one person has believed me when i first tell them …but after half a season not one person does not believe in the fix…football is so important to our lives shame it is fixed…nba ref fix same as my theory watch out when spread moves 2 points…usa today fixing of big time tennis…toledo rb busted then unbusted on game shaving…

  57. colin cowherd and other broadcasters say when making picks – pick against public but they do not believe it’s fixed but they know the trend…bookies don’t lose …and the bigger the solo game the bigger the fix///mon nite fb sunday nite fb etc

  58. do u believe au players are being paid with unmarked atm cards and rigged bingo machines….do u believe joe mcknight was heard saying in a new orleans bar holding up a roll of 100s…”southern cal knows how to take care of their players”

  59. Hammah:

First, I want to apologize again for the ad hominem attacks.

Second, it is my understanding that Vegas sets the line in order to get equal betting on each side of the bet. Alabama’s brand is bigger nationally than Auburn’s. They had not been beaten at home since when? National Champions. Saban. All that led to the 4 point spread.

You are accusing Alabama players or coaches of working with gamblers, but at the same time you care about recruiting violations. Is that right?

If what you believe is ever proven to be true it will be a bigger story than if Cecil got money from a booster. I really hope you are wrong about Vegas’s influence on the college game.

    Take care and good night.

  60. thx no problem – but i am saying all games are fixed not just bama’s – and yes it is huge but i can’t see it ever being exposed – – too unbelievable until u track it urself… i do not believe the spread is to attract equal betting – i believe it is to attract heavy betting period

  61. No, Auburn is not a great team.
Thinking so is just plain absurd.
Auburn escaped today. Like they have so many times this year.
This time by one point. And don’t kid yourselves Aubies. This was NOT last year’s Bama team. Or last year’s Florida team for that matter. It was more like last year’s Missouri team.
So go and have your grandiose little dreams of glory like the Napoleon Bonaparte wannabes’ you are.
I expected to see a great SEC team. What I got was Auburn.
A team full of 7th year seniors with a paid backfield.
    I was not impressed.
Don’t expect me to give you a pat on the back either.
There are teams out there who deserve a shot at the National Championship. WHO HAVE ACTUALLY ABIDED BY THE RULES OF ELIBIBILITY.
And you can rest assured Aubs. When it comes time for the NCAA to dole out a punishment for the Cam Newton issue. It wont be forgotten.
A lot of people will be screaming for your heads on a stick. You have given the playoff crowd ample ammunition.
Another matter too. Nick Saban or any real coach would have been compliant the minute Cecil said he asked for money. Auburn WAS NOT. Do you honestly think they have nothing but happy hopes and goodwill for you? The answer is no.
What you did affected their bowl pictures and over all records. Coaches alumni and fans every where are not gonna like you.

  62. Here is a tissue for you to wipe those tears away.

What a baby. Did you throw tempur tantrums as a kid too?

  63. will u admit to being classless scum delusional trash enabling fool if au is found guilty in the camscam

  64. bama won the west in 08

bama won the sec and national champs in 09

cheauters – have only won a vacated west title now

    No hate.
Me and your girlfriend where too busy spending the lunch money you gave her and laughing at what a world-class sucker you are.
On the days when she was not at school. I just came and took your lunch money myself.
    Ahh, those were good times.
Me? I went on to become independently wealthy. And you… oh yeah… that’s right… you took a vow of poverty when you became and Auburn graduate.
Well, at least you can still associate with your social betters online here at the Capstone Report. Just the sheer fact that you get computer access when your mom isnt online shows me that you really did overachieve in this life.

BTW there sport, what is a tempur?

  66. So Crimson Hammah, if all games are fixed, as you have said above, was last years National Championship fixed???

That’s just as crazy as everyother conspiracy theory! Wow! I say good game, watched the whole thing, and now I need to get my nails redone! Not what I wanted but then there is next year!

  67. When gambler Ghazi “Gary” Manni allegedly bribed University of Toledo running back Harvey “Scooter” McDougle Jr. and other players to rig football and basketball games from 2003-06, he didn’t ask them to deliberately lose, according to federal law authorities.
The alleged game-fixer’s pitch to McDougle was more insidious — and psychologically effective: Play to win, just by fewer points than the betting line set by the oddsmakers of Las Vegas. Don’t beat yourself, beat the spread.

This illegal scam is known as point-shaving. The most common form involves paying athletes on favored teams to win the game — but by fewer points than the betting line.

If the Toledo Rockets football team were favored by 10, Manni would ask players to try to win by nine or fewer, according to an affidavit in the case filed by FBI special agent Brian Max. Manni allegedly would then bet big money on the opponent to “cover the spread.” And clean up.

“Is it a huge problem? I wouldn’t say that. But it’s a continual problem,” says Matt Heron, chief of the organized crime section at FBI headquarters in Washington. “It’s out there. We know it’s out there. Whether we can prove it is a different matter.”

Shaving points might seem like a no-harm, no-foul way to make easy money, Heron says. But a college athlete risks his education, future career, even freedom.

Point-shaving is a federal crime. Any player caught shaving points permanently loses NCAA eligibility in all sports and can be arrested and prosecuted.

Just ask Stevin “Hedake” Smith, an ex-team captain of Arizona State who served nearly a year in prison in 1999-2000. He played briefly with the Dallas Mavericks early in 1997, but his NBA prospects disappeared after he pleaded guilty in late 1997 to conspiracy to commit sports bribery for shaving points in four games in 1994.

Some Las Vegas sports gambling experts are suspicious of the Toledo football team’s performance in the ’05 season. Lopsided betting to one side or the other of a line changes the point spread — and raises questions in the gambling community.

During that season, the lines moved by two points or more on seven games, says RJ Bell, president of Pregame.com. Each time, the bettors driving the changes won. “The odds of that happening randomly are 128-1 … which tells me these guys knew something.”

The “betting patterns” on Toledo during the 2005 season became so suspicious that Nevada’s State Gaming Control Board investigated two games, chief enforcement officer Jerry Markling says. After concluding there were no violations by state casinos, the board closed its investigation in December 2005.

McDougle was arraigned March 30 in U.S. District Court in Detroit on charges of participating in a bribery scheme to influence games. He has been suspended from the football team but is still enrolled at school, University of Toledo spokesman Larry Burns says.

The FBI says it is still gathering information to make its case against McDougle. Manni, 50, from the Detroit area, has not been charged.

Once a player gets in with mobsters and gamblers, there’s no turning back, warns former gangster Henry Hill, the inspiration for the movie Goodfellas, who orchestrated a point-shaving scheme with the Boston College’s men’s basketball team during the 1978-79 season. Players are forced to continue shaving points until the caper blows up or they’re off the team.

Hill vividly recalls the warning he gave the players from New York gangster Jimmy “The Gent” Burke after they botched a point-shaving attempt: ” ‘Tell those Boston kids they can’t play basketball with broken arms.’ ”

    Balancing greed, desire

A less common form of point-shaving involves paying players on underdog teams to deliberately lose by more than the point spread. If the Rockets were predicted to lose by two points, Manni would tell players to lose by three or more, according to the FBI affidavit.

The problem? Even the greediest college athletes are highly competitive, experts say. It’s much easier for game fixers to sell them on shaving points while still winning than losing on purpose.

“If the spread is 12 points, he doesn’t care if he wins by 10 or 14,” says Justin Wolfers, assistant professor of business and public policy at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

After studying 44,120 NCAA Division I men’s basketball games from 1989 to 2005, he concluded in a research paper last year that 1%, or nearly 500 games, involved “gambling-related corruption.”

Point-shaving is easier to pull off and harder to catch than dumping games, says Michael Franzese, who refers to himself as a former Mafia soldier and ex-convict turned anti-gambling crusader. Athletes shaving points can still play hard and win. At key moments they try to manipulate the final score by slacking off on defense, missing free throws or committing a foul.

In an interview with the FBI on Dec. 14, according to the affidavit, McDougle admitted accepting cash, a car, a phone and other valuables from Manni. Also according to the affidavit, McDougle said he shared inside information and introduced Manni to other Toledo football and basketball players who might also be interested.

In the affidavit, McDougle, a 22-year-old senior with no declared major, told the FBI he never changed his play to affect a game’s outcome. His best year for the Rockets was in 2004, rushing for 620 yards and seven touchdowns. After knee surgery, he played sparingly in 2005 and ’06.

McDougle’s attorney, James Burdick, says his client is innocent. The initial criminal complaint against McDougle was dropped April 18. Gina Balaya, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Detroit, says that was done to give the FBI more time to investigate. She says she expects the case to go to a grand jury.

Manni’s attorney, Neil Fink, declined to comment. Devlin Culliver, McDougle’s coach at Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio, believes “someone tried to corrupt” his star running back: “Scooter is not that kind of kid. Maybe he gave up information he shouldn’t gave up. I’m hoping him he didn’t.”

    Five hoops scandals since 1951

Mark Andrews, chairman of the watchdog Casino Watch in Chesterfield, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis, says growing acceptance of wagering, from sports betting to poker, has created the first generation “to grow up thinking gambling is acceptable. Combine that with being in a position of influence, and they will get into trouble real quick.”

Scandals involving dumping games have been scarce recently. Recall the eight Chicago White Sox players pocketing bribes to dump the 1919 World Series to the Cincinnati Reds. Or pro boxers taking dives in the ring.

But nearly every college betting scandal of the last 60 years involved point-shaving, such as these in basketball:

•City College of New York, 1951.

    •Boston College, 1978-79.

    •Tulane, 1985.

    •Arizona State, 1994.

    •Northwestern, 1995.

Gamblers don’t just target players; they target anyone who can help them win a bet, the FBI’s Heron says.

During the 2006 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament, a trainer from one of the teams making the Sweet 16 received a suspicious text-mail message asking for inside information. He reported it to the FBI.

    Why a trainer?

“He knows who’s hurt, who’s healthy, who’s got a bum knee,” Heron says.

The only way to eradicate point-shaving, Wolfers says, would be to eliminate point-spread betting on college sports.

    No plan is perfect

Even game-fixers, however, learn there’s no such thing as a sure thing. In an account of the Boston College scheme published by Sports Illustrated in 1981, Hill described the strategy:

“We wanted BC to win by less than the betting line when it was favored — and to lose by more than the line when it was the underdog. So we’d always bet on the BC opponent and everything would be perfect. Right?”

Wrong. Despite three BC players on board, Hill says he won his bets on only six of the nine rigged games.

Still, Hill says he made $480,000; he says the players got a few thousand a game. Their leader, Rick Kuhn, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ended up serving 28 months. Kuhn could not be reached for comment.

The dirty secret of college sports is how easy it is for fixers to bribe student-athletes who have little or no money, Hill says, especially if the players don’t think they have the size or skill to make it in the professional ranks after college.

“Everybody has a number. Everybody is corruptible. I don’t care who it is,” says Hill, writing a screenplay about the Boston College scam, Final Four. “It’s just a matter of how much — and how much they think they can get away with.

“You offer a kid 10 large ($10,000), he’s at least going to think about it.”

  68. I saw, what I saw, thats it. Games over. To talk about it would be like being the guy who has to tell everyone that there’s no Santa. What are we trying to accomplish here. Do we want the NCAA to come in or the FBI and investigate this thing so we might be able to vaccate our loss. lol. Games over. I would like to believe in our players and thats the way I prefer it. It’s my reality and I’m going to keep it for now. I would like to believe in the phrase Any given saturday. For now! Two words next year,,,RTR

  69. @tmc: Y’all have been on continuous probation for over a decade. You’re the only program since SMU to have come anywhere close to the death penalty. So no one from UAT should ever bring up “cheating” in another program.

With that said, Auburn has been on top of these allegations since BEFORE they signed Cam. They have arguably the toughest compliance department in the NCAA. You don’t think McGlynn has been in constant communication with his former colleagues in the NCAA compliance office throughout this situation, and wouldn’t be allowing Newton to play if there was ANY question about it? If you think McGlynn, Chizik, Jacobs, and virtually the entire Auburn coaching staff would put their entire careers on the line for ONE player, then you don’t have any sense. That’s the kind of thing that happens at UAT, where winning at any cost is the philosophy. Auburn just has no interest in running its program that way, particularly since Dye’s time.

And neither Chizik nor anyone else had any real idea of Newton’s abilities until the season was ready to start. He was a giant question mark, so that makes the idea of risking everything for him even more ridiculous. Clearly, since he was #4 on Florida’s depth chart, NO ONE knew how good Cam could be. He’s a great player, but he’s also playing alongside some great players on the offensive line, and with Dyer and McCalebb behind him. Everything came together for Auburn this season, and at the end of it, nothing in these “allegations” is going to destroy that. The truth, when it finally comes out in its entirety, is going to implicate Rogers, MSU, Jody Wright, and a reporter to be named later as the real “villains” in this situation.

  70. I agree with JDcahill and the other level headed Bama fans. We lost, and by a good possibly a great team. When you cry and whine and say Auburn was lucky or that they are a bad team you are saying worse about Bama. we can’t sit here all year and say we are a Dynasty, that we could possibly compete with a few NFL teams and then say the Teams that beat us got lucky.

Take it like a man.. Be a good fan, a fan of true college football. That was a great game between 2 great teams. You give any excuses why we lost and you are taking away from Bama as a team and the GAME.

  77. SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYY
    PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  78. BamaHate – it was a good game OK? I’m “man” enough to admit it.

It’s a shame that you actually may go to a NC and actually ‘win’ it. It would bring disgrace upon the SEC. You barner’s are so delusional and hungry for relevance – that the only thing you care about is what happens “on the field”. We Alabama fans understand that if HISTORY doesn’t record it in the books – it doesn’t mean SH|T in the end – that’s what separates the barner’s from the Crimson faithful – they JUST DON’T GET IT – your win is NOTHING.

  79. To beSerious.
I think your post was quite informative and interesting. But come on, How “on top of this” could Auburn be with Pat Dye and his bag man Wayne Hall running around behind the scenes?
I really believe Chizik is an honorable man. But the boosters that pull his strings have the federal government up their butts so bad after the Colonial Bank thing its not even funny.
You dont go from having a crap season to having a top 5 recruiting class with a 5-19 coach. It just doenst happen that way. Maybe in fantasy world or a Hollywood movie. But in reality? No.
What the Auburn family keeps forgetting, is that up in Fayetteville, there are several people sniffing around over the Walt Williams/Michael Dyer affair.

    Question for Snappa Head:

Will Auburn fans still talk about this game when the NCAA forces you to forfeit for playing an ineligible player?

IS THAT ALL YOU GOT TURDHEAD?

  83. You all are the most delusional fan base that I have ever seen. The game was “fixed”. Are you saying that your own players intentionally threw the game? That is what it sounds like. No wonder you are called the “turds”. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

    Poor losers! You were humbled.

  84. Lets see who is delusional here. This game was fixed by Vegas by getting current Bama players to throw the game. Is that not a violation of NCAA rules and you believe that Auburn paid Newton. Dream on. IT aint so. Neither. You got your arse handed to you. The Rammer Jammer at the post game celebration, in your stadium, after spotting you 24 points, PRICELESS. YOU CAN”T STAND IT. Try and comfort yourself with gambling conspiracies and call me an idiot. You are the real idiot.

  85. The Score was 28-27. IT doesn’t matter if it was 110-3. The team with the most points always wins and that would be Auburn. Ha Ha. Wow! Just wow! It is still suhweeeet! 1-7 at Jordan Hare West a.k.a. Tuberville Field.

  86. You are stupid Crimson Hannah. Say this with me……WE GOT BEAT BY 5-19 coach from IOWA STATE and by a high school coach with a HIGH SCHOOL OFFENSE. Bwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!

  93. Did you not watch the first half, or perhaps since your a barner I guess you’ll put a spin on it. au gave us the first half to make the spread, yea yea thats more on the line of what a barner would like to believe

  95. i am a saints fan and would love to see falcons lose to green bay….but the spread is mostly moving atl minus 2.5 down to 2 therefore the public is on green bay therefore green bay will lose the game

  96. Hoping for a good spread for SC to work with and come out a winnah…better yet a sec office presser declaring the skank team a vacated season

  97. Word for the day: sociopath. In a sentence- Cam Newton is a sociopath, and his followers are delusional.

Nothing “wet” about that phone call(s). The problems is that the NPO slush funds are connected to bigger cases — and the justice department moves at a glacial pace — it will happen though, it will take time (see USC, Reggie Bush) — but we will get the last laugh, and I can sleep on that.

Or that Saban sent in a player with a message to Richardson to drop a TD pass? I guess you subscribe to the Grassy Knoll theory too dummy? Hell, I’m gonna call Elliot Ness! Phuck that stupid shite!

  102. stop believing in santa claus ….show me one game from vegas insider where the team with the public money beat the spread …

I’m just trying to figure out why Aubarn fans are acting like “all of it’s just going away” – everyone wants an immediate response and it just isn’t going to happen. Yes – you won the game. I admit that. We got beat. I like how your AD gave him a hug too – you can’t use the excuse of act like you’ve been there before. Don’t expect an olive branch with a screen name “BamaHate” from anyone in here. At least you won’t be censored in here like your vomit spewed brethren on the orange & blue sites – so get it all out while you can before they lay the modern day death penaly on your as$.

  109. and scroll down to read:

Rules aren’t only bent on the field or in a recruit’s front yard, though. It’s no secret that a lot of college football players aren’t necessarily academically fit for college, and some schools go the extra mile to keep players eligible. Former NFL running back James Brooks revealed a few years back that he had never fully learned how to read. Asked how he made it through four years at Auburn, Brooks replied, “I never had to go to class.” While that story, if true, would constitute a pretty clear case of academic fraud, many such cases aren’t so black and white. For instance, a Tennessee English professor reviewed transcripts for 39 players from the Vols’ ’98 national title team and found what she considered to be “an unmistakable pattern of academic abuse,” but no sanctions were ever levied. That’s because while the common practice of steering players into easier majors or courses taught by athlete-friendly professors may seem shady, it’s not technically illegal. Similarly, the tutors who assist athletes with their schoolwork often cross the line, but unless it can be proven that they actually wrote a player’s paper for him, there’s no effective recourse.

    you are a big Dumbass.

  110. I never said there wasn’t anything about Auburn in there. I’m just pointing out that THE eternal symbol of Alabama football was a cheater too.

  111. By the way, did you ever listen to Terrance Cody speak in an interview, I’d put 100 bucks on the fact that kid can’t read either. Are you trying to claim Alabama doesn’t do the same thing? Come on, Cody was academically ineligible coming out of high school. The kid didn’t miraculously gain the ability to become a legitimate student. Every program is the same. The only programs that can claim to be more honest, academic, and honorable are programs like Vandy who suck at football and accept that fact because they make there money on their academic reputation.

  112. THE MONEY WAS TOO MUCH ,,.,CAM DID NOT TAKE ANY MONEY – NOBODY EVER SAID CAM DID…THE DAD DID

  113. RUMOUR – CROWELL GA RB TO GA NOT BAMA-I BELIEVE IT – HE IS GOING TO GA THING LATER AND WOULD BE ONLY BE GOING AT THIS POINT IF WILL BE GA COMMIT…GA AFTER BEING A MESS HAS RIGHTED THE SHIP WELL ENOUGH.

  114. 28, shut the f_ck up. You are an idiot. The article didn’t mention Alabama, but Texas A&M. But Auburn has been caught, absoulutely, without a doubt. The coaches themselves were recorded on tape making transactions with players. Not speculating, not a booster, but the damn coaches. And ya’ll still uphold the drunken basterd like some kind of icon. Don’t try to give anyone any history lesson here, dumbass.

  115. Because it is documented, dumbass. look it up. Larry Blakney and Pat Dye was recorded on tape by Eric Ramsey, taking money. Keep it down home, cuz. That is a FACT. Auburn was put on probation for it, and Pat Dye resigned because of it. Double FACT. You are as dumb as it gets.

  116. Eric Ramsey
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eric Ramsey was a defensive back for Auburn University’s football team in the early 1990s who used a tape recorder to secretly record conversations between his football coaches and Booster “Corky” Frost regarding an illicit player payment scheme. Ramsey’s allegations also included racist practices at Auburn, including disapproval of inter-racial dating in the community and segregation of black and white players in the resident athletic dorm. After his tapes were revealed, Auburn received strict penalties and probation for the sixth time in the schools history. This scandal prompted Coach Pat Dye’s resignation and preceded the hiring of Samford University football coach Terry Bowden.

  117. Alabama cheats, Auburn cheats. Neither school is more morally upstanding or righteous than the other when it comes to athletics. They’re both programs obsessed with winning. Auburn has cheated, but so has Alabama. I have no problem with Alabama fans pointing out that Auburn has cheated in the past, but when it’s hypocritical to pretend that Alabama is in some way more honorable or righteous in athletics. They’re not, but I don’t blame either side. Like Ty Cobb always said, “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”

  118. THE STUPID AZZ FANBASE WING OF AU
MS – FULL COOPERATION WITH NCAA BUT THEY ARE THE ONES LOOKING AT PROBATION

AU-LAWYERED UP GAG ORDERS ETC WILL SKATE..

I WOULD LMAO BUT THESE PEOPLE VOTE AND PROCREATE

  119. No coach at Alabama has been caught paying players. Both schools have had rogue boosters, but Auburns coaches were caught, Alabama coaches have not. Alabama disassociated with the people that caused the trouble, Auburn hails theirs as icons. Big difference there. Auburns football program has committed more major infractions than Alabama has. That is a fact too. And if the Cam Scam has any truth to it, it will be the largest scandal in the NCAA ever. Now sit back down and shut the hell up.

  120. A cheater is a cheater. If you break the rules there’s really no gradation of how big a cheater you are. Albert Means got paid, Eric Ramsey got paid. Pat Sullivan was offered improper benefits to come to Alabama by Bear Bryant. I’m not saying Alabama is a bad program for doing any of this. I’m just saying the NCAA is the problem and that because the NCAA is a racket designed to exploit players for profit that universities are forced to break the rules. Alabama and Auburn are both equally corrupt, it’s the system that forces them to be.

  121. Bear Bryant offered pat sullivan improper benefits to come to Alabama?
    Bullsh*t.
When did that pile of horse dung of a lie get made up?
Another Auburn history revisionist runs amok with another bald faced lie.
Ignorant, stupid and still tries to make up stories that glorify The Kudzu College. Poor Eagle.

  122. Pat Sullivan claims that Bear Bryant offered him rides in a limo, which would be a small improper benefit but nothing to get too bent out of shape over.

  123. IF U THINK AU WILL SKATE U R A PRODUCT OF A CLONING – GOD’S CREATION CANNOT BE THAT STUPID

  124. Bama fans are the worst losers in the history of modern sports. Take it like men and quit making excuses. You got beat….Life goes on. All these excuses just make you people look like idiots.

  125. I’m pretty sure it was still illegal at the time, but it’s a dumb rule. My problem is not with Alabama, it’s with the NCAA. Name one other profession where you have to wait until you’re 21 years old and have to generate revenue for a large corporation without being paid before you’re allowed to start making money on your own. It’s dumb. That’s why college cheat. Both Alabama and Auburn. Both programs cheat, as does Oklahoma, and Miami, and Florida, ect. That’s why they’ve had success in the past, because they cheated the system.

  126. Prove the Sullivan accusations. You are mixing speculation and Auburn myth with FACTS. Auburn has always had an inferiority complex with Alabama. The drive to cheat to keep up with the Bear Bryant dominance was too much for Auburn. Auburn has been caught more than any other SEC school for cheating. That is not equal. Those are FACTS. SO you can paint it how you want, Auburn is not equal to Alabama historically in any way as far as football is concerned. Another FACT.

  127. Well it helps when you claim National Championships you didn’t actually win. 13, yea right. One of those national championships you claim you didn’t even finish first in the SEC that year. A couple of years you claim national championships you lost your bowl games, you just get to claim a national title because the last poll of the year was released before bowl games.

  128. BP*, I offer no excuses, just a hatred of Auburn and smartass Auburn fans like you. You were fortunate to win that game, and barely did enough to win it, much like most of your season has been like. Enjoy your lucky run for all it is worth, and enjoy sweating out the consequences.

  129. 28, blah blah blah, heard it all before. I have personally witnessed 4 Alabama national championships, and that is 4 more than Auburn has, so suck it. Enjoy being in the shadow of Bama for the majority of the time.

  130. at the time one service did give us 41 i don’t claim it but bama was hottest team in country – bama knocked off top 4ish tex am and the other top teams lost bowl or no bowl….but robbed in 77 66…45 good as claim as any rose bowl and undefeated – war time and army was the darling…75 scum switzer was media darling in 77 ok destroyed by lou holtz putting into qu the whole ok run..and 64 joe namath in orange bowl scored every ref and tex players says he scored – one cheating ref says no – bowls were exhibition at time – if had meant anything joe namath plays entire game and blows tex off….

  131. Yes, you are in denial. Bama casts a long shadow that goes back way more than just a decade, dumbass. Bama still has the overall record, and a 9 game streak that hasn’t been matched yet.

  148. We will be reloading next year, and Bama has the best JUCO player in the country at noseguard coming in, a top 5 recruiting class, and with something to prove. Auburn will be sweating out the Cam accusations, it will affect recruiting, and when probation comes again, back to wailing and gnashing the teeth over all things Bama.

  149. Cam winning the Heisman?

That will be an awkward situation.

Wonder if there will be any verbal slip-ups?-

“This year’s winner- Cash….uh Cam Newton”

  150. Haha Hannah if you’re including other trophies in a case (the 1912 “bowling” trophy) then it’s definitely not empty. we have like 10 swimming and diving national championships and 25 olympic medalists.

  151. Seriously Brando? You’re gonna call me gay? You can’t think of anything better to say of substance?

  152. i will not brag about bama beating au for the next 10 yrs but point out the stupidity of allowing convicted cheaters to run the program AGAIN

  153. i can’t imagine cam winnig the heisman that would be the most awkward ceremony in history – the trophy would come with a pre labeled return shipping box

  154. We’re not all losers Brando. My grandfather, father, and I have all done pretty well for ourselves and we were all Auburn men.

  155. 28, yeah you are gay if you are so proud of your swim team haha. Why are you here on a Bama board instead of gloating with your fellow pretty well Auburn men? We all know the answer to that. Like I said, you will be back in Bamas shadow before you know it. And you just HATE that, I know, coming from that long line of Auburn haters. Bear Bryant put so much hate and fear into ya’ll it lasted three generations. Roll Tide!

  156. hannah I can’t find that poll where you said 75% of people don’t think Cam will win the Heisman. I did find one where 55% said he already has it locked up no matter what happens saturday, 38% say he could still lose it with a terrible game, and 7% say he still has a lot of work to do to win it. He’s the best player college football has seen since reggie bush. Forget the allegations, just looking at performance he’s probably the 2nd best player behind reggie bush in the last decade.

  157. i put 28 in the 15% of au fans that are good …what a freakin moron thinking cam did not know what his dad was up to “too much money”

  158. Brando I don’t care if you disagree, that’s what makes the rivalry fun, but calling me gay is just juvenile. Name calling just means you can’t think of anything worth while to say. And seriously, don’t insult gay people by trying to use it as a slam.

  159. Brandi* , post 101 ……I thought you said you didn’t “hate” anyone ? Your true colors are showing ….Go get some meds and therapy…Like said, you’ll win another Iron Bowl eventually.

Heck, this may even be a good thing in the long run…It will make you realise your obsession and hatred for AU….

What are you even talking about with the Ramsey comment ? Sorry , must have missed that one.

  160. I will give you this though Brandi* …You have the stones to show after the historic “CAMback”…I think ITK actually did kill himself.

  161. cam cannot hit the wide side of a barner – terrible passer can’t read defenses ….my whole point on the sn poll was that he would not win b/c of guilt

  162. roll bama roll.com
cotton bowl will take texas am and bama if bama is av ailable over lsu and arkansas –
pass over ark b/c am and ark played reg season past 2 yrs
over lsu – lsu plays oreg to open 2011 season in jerry jones stadium

  163. Its okay to be gay 28, i wasnt making fun of you. I just don’t roll that way. But don’t come on a Bama board acting all high and mighty after beating Bama by a measly point. You guys won, we lost. Enjoy. Roll a tree. Be merry.

BP* I see you are still immune to the FACTS.

  164. WWhat facts ? I don’t remember talking about Ramsey …Refresh my memory.

And, I thought we were supposed to be in Bamas shadow THIS year ? Didn’t quite work out like you thought , did it ?

  165. You said the coaches werent caught paying players, and I proved you wrong. Scroll up and read dumbass.

  166. You questioned if the coaches were doing it, and I was “sad as hammah” or something. You look pretty stupid right now.

  167. No……..Not me……….Are you saying the coaches ARE CURRENTLY paying the players, or that the USED TO pay players….I agree they did pay Eric Ramsey, this is common knowledge…..As far as them currnetly paying players, you don’t know crap. They are not and have not. THIS is the context of my post, to interpret it any other way, only makes you look stupid, not me.

  168. No that wasn’t the conversation. Scroll up and read again. But it is your guilty conscious. Enjoy sweating the investigation out. You don’t know if they are or not paying players. It is just blind faith and hope on your part. You butted in on a conversation where I was putting 28 in her place, and I beatdown the both of you. Go ahead, read it again.

  169. Just thought everybody should know, Monday Auburn University ruled Cam Newton ineligible. Today the NCAA rules him eligible to play.

  170. And while your looking that up, get on the national boards and weep while your conspiricy theory is shot to heck and gone. Cam is clear.

  171. Guess you idiots heard by now….Cam was
cleared!! Here is a few fact they posted:

He leads the SEC in rushing and has accounted for 43 touchdowns, accounting for at least four touchdowns in a game seven times.

He’s the first player in the SEC history to have thrown for more than 2,000 yards and to have rushed for more than 1,000 yards in the same season.

He ranks second in the nation in passing efficiency.

He’s been named the SEC’s offensive player of the week six times.

They played “Son of a preacher man” and
“Take the money and run”, and waved fake money at him when he came on the field…..and now he has been cleared. What a sorry school to allow this. You all should be so proud!!
    Suck on you sore loosers!
