TMZ reports that the FBI is now interested in allegations that college football players are being shopped. This involves the allegations surrounding Auburn football player Cam Newton.

According to the report, “Bond’s attorney confirms to TMZ Sports that the FBI has requested a sit-down meeting with his client — and tells us the agent who contacted him said, ‘We are interested in whether young men are being shopped to colleges.'”

This deepens the drama involved in the case. Will this improve the chances that the truth comes out?

Certainly, it was a bad day for Auburn and its star football player with new revelations of academic misconduct while Cam Newton was at Florida. This undermined any confidence in Newton’s statements, and highlighted the other character issues that plagued Newton’s past.

  1. told ya so 6 months ago…au skankiest program in us – look it up…bond is not the story bond heard rumors …miss st asst knows everything and said everything last summer

THIS WILL NOT END WELL FOR AUBURN UNIVERSITY…NCAA INVESTIGATOR

AU DEAD 6 MONTHS AGO BUT DID NOT KNOW IT

NOVEMBER 15TH 2010 CAM WILL BE KICKETEAMD OFF FOOTBALL TEAM (MOST LIKELY) OR NOVEMBER 16TH CAM WILL NOT BE ON TEAM

  2. Kicked off the team? On what basis? So far only Daddy Newton seems to be potentially involved.

  3. If the parent were involved that would make the player ineligible based on the NCAA’s enforcement policies. Anyone remember what happened about an agent and Andre Smith?

The NCAA rule extends beyond the player to the family to protect against just this type of situation—if it happened you can’t shield yourself by saying the player didn’t know about it.

  4. some people will want to play cam regardless some will lobby to be kicked off team …no one knows what will happen based on what i am hearing – the kick off people will win out but nobody knows

  5. Dummy. Camilla called an MSU reruiter and told him ” I’m sorry I can’t come to Mississippi St. Daddy chose Auburn because the money is too good”. Even if Camilla was not involved in the transaction, or even opposed to it; his own words prove he had knowledge of it and willingness to implicate himself by attending the school who paid his daddy. By NCAA rules he is ineligible. I know you Aubies are paranoid. You usually have reason to be. But MSU, Florida. +en

But MSU, Florida, Tennessee. the NCAA, the FBI, ESPN, Fox and all the newspapers accross the country are not out to destroy you with made up bullshite. There is just too much stuff coming out daily for it to all be bullshite. Count on it. Ya’ll did it and now you have to pay the piper. RTR!

  7. Let’s pretend that he told Miss. St. what is being reported…If that’s the csae one would have to say under oath that Miss. State made an offer. In that cse, they would get thrown into the fire. And, the NCAA would have to find the paper trail for Newtons supposed check.

    I aint buying it.

If Cecil has this Joe Jackson mind control element over his kids. Then why is it that his older son ( the second string center for an NFL team ) not the one being given credit for all of these “church improvements” is he is LOADED ?

There are way too many holes in this story…

Reggie Bush’s parent were living in a friggin million dollar home, and wouldn’t leave after Reggie signed with another agent….Just a little more proof on that matter than in Cma’s wouldn’t you say ?

And again, I am not saying I know what happended , but at this time , neither does anyone else….

Not to mention, there is a lot of B.S. going around about him. Fact of the matter is this …Miss. State says he didn’t go there becasue Auburn bought him. The source for that (Kenny Rogers) denies the whole thing, naturally…Why ? because it would prove guilt on him and Miss. St. as he is a Miss. St. recruiter. See the irony.

And listen real close bammers. If Auburn did buy him. Burn them at the stake. But wait until it’s been proven.

  8. BIPIE, I’m not accusing anyone. But from any side other than Aubies it looks muy, muy malo.(very, very bad). I do not wish to see Camilla sidelined before Black Friday. Bama has the team to kick your ass with him. Whether we play up to the potential we had at the beginning of the season and do it or not I just don’t know. Never expected us to have motivational problems, although I did say before the season started that the success of this team would depend on their ability to form an identity and focus; which they never did. But I don’t want you to have any excuses and I don’t want a hollow victory. That being said. If all of this comes down on you after the season is over, I hope you have to forfiet, not vacate, but forfiet the whole season and I will laugh my ass off and have an orgasm of glee to see you phuckers suffer through what you gave US hell about for so many years. Don’t even try to be naive and think we will forget how you people acted or that you won’t deserve payback. RTR!
