I don’t think anyone should be surprised about the outcome of this game. All the preceding week, all the U of A talk centered on the sour grapes issue of a purported agent that missed out on a cash collection when Mr. Newton decided to attend AU in preference to getting caught up in a big mess that would have resulted from him enrolling at MSU.

  2. 3
    capstonereport

Yes. Lynn, you are right. What a bunch of fans on talk radio and message boards said caused the outcome of this game. It had nothing to do with LSU’s players making plays or Alabama’s players not making the plays. Everything had to do with “sour grapes.”

I wonder what sour grapes you might have when your superstar gets declared ineligible and you have to forfeit every game this year because of cheating? Just wondering. Not saying that will happen. But with AU’s infractions history, it stands a pretty good chance of happening. 😉

  3. 4
    versho

Sad ass bama fans. Done lost 2 this year (to teams Auburn beat). The only thing you have to hold onto has no basis for any punishment, no evidence of any crime, and no proof of any wrong-doing.

Get ready for the curb stomping Auburn is going to put on you.

    Cam for 300 yards….rushing.

  4. 6
    capstonereport

Actually with the pathetic play of Alabama’s offense and defense, I could see 300 yards rushing.

However, ESPN wouldn’t write a story without substantial information. The NCAA is looming. Will you be able to skate? Maybe. But you aren’t Michigan.

  5. 7
    versho

Where is the article that ESPN wrote that says Auburn is being investigated and likely will be punished? Is that one out there? Any word on Auburn getting sanctioned? Didnt think so. Auburn will skate on this, and sadly, you know it. There will never be any evidence to get Auburn, even if they did it. So keep on hoping you dont have to face Cam. And likely a pissed off Cam. He is going to destroy Alabama.

  6. 8
    capstonereport

If you don’t think the NCAA is looking at Auburn then you are truly myopic. Why else would they want the financial records from Newton’s family and the church? They suspect he was paid. And who would pay for him? The team that landed him. You can buy the AU spin, but nobody else with a brain is buying it.

Now, I LOVE how you basically congratulated yourself and your school by saying the NCAA won’t ever prove it.

I’m sure a few other schools have felt that way too.

I think Logan Young felt that way.

But good luck with such an arrogant attitude when dealing with the NCAA. The NCAA just LOVES that.

  7. 9
    capstonereport

And just so you know. The New York Times wrote this, “The N.C.A.A. is investigating Auburn University’s recruitment of Cam Newton, a star quarterback and front-runner for the Heisman Trophy.”

  8. 10
    versho

Im sure the NCAA is reading the capstone report and thinking they need to get Auburn cause one of the posters is a little arrogant.

You know they wont get Auburn, it doesnt matter how arrogant a message board poster is. There will never be more evidence than a ” he said, he said” bunch of crap. And so far, Mr. Rogers is denying he ever offered Cam to anyone. So you’ll need evidence that he did (which there is none) and then evidence that he actually acted on Cams behalf (which there is none).

Good luck in that Iron Bowl. Im sure Cam will try not to score more than 50.

  9. 12
    capstonereport

No, but your attitude is exactly what encouraged this type of behavior in the first place.

And for the record, the standard of evidence the NCAA requires isn’t as high as you think it is.

But good luck with that pro-cheating attitude. It is what put Auburn on probation more than anyone else in the SEC.

  10. 14
    versho

Good luck with that offense. Its what got Alabama to a 7-2 record.

We just won the SEC, and you sacks cant stand it. The only thing you can hope for is the NCAA to come in and stop us, cause you cant. And you know that they wont. Its coming soon. Cam is going to curb stomp your pathetic team. Camzilla will destroy Bamtokyo.

  11. 15
    versho

Camzilla is coming! Camzilla is coming! Hide yo wife, hide yo kids! Hide em all, cause he’s killing everybody out here.

  12. 16
    capstonereport

The offense isn’t the only problem on that team. The defense has more holes than swiss cheese. Why the holes? I think some of the players have no clue what they are supposed to be doing.

  13. 20
    versho

Keep hoping for the Auburn probation. Thats all Bama fans can hope for now.

LSU just ran for 200+ yards on that ass. Guess what Cam and company are going to do.

You need to write the NCAA. You need to call the NCAA. You need to beg the NCAA to please, please dont let Cam whoop our ass.

Crimson Hannah is actually Deepthroat in the Cam Newton investigation called asswhip gate. It’s when Ingrahm gives over the Heisman, there is a thorough and complete asswhipping in JH west (9-2 AU win record I think), and save the Crystal football from the Wal Mart circuit.

It’s funny how tame the Bama fans are after a year. I remember all the smartass 5-19 Chiznik, limogate, towel waver, finescum rhetoric. Glad you can eat that crow now. We may not amount to an SEC west winner next year, but at least we don’t act like something that we aren’t. We don’t claim 8 NC, which if you went by the Mullet criterion we have. Alabama even reports a NC when they finished in 20th place in the AP.

Hey deepthroat Hannah, try looking that up. It’s for view to everyone on Wikipedia, try typing in NCAA national championship, Sherlock.

Nite Nite, I will be back to generally be a pain in the ass. Try not to be such one sided Homers, cause it really sucks to have to eat crow.

That game was a bummer. Trent went out and I believe that had a little bit to do with it — and i mean little. The team just “woke up” on that last drive in the 4th quarter — where the fu#k was that in the other 3 quarters.

McElroy — guy, thanks for the NC, but jeez — let’s get some zip on the ball for christ sakes.

One thing is for sure — we got “nothing to lose” and we have all the motivation in the world to “spoil” the season for the barner’s.

Who couldn’t see this coming ?

Oh yeah…Every Bama fan I know.

Just like ITK the fanbase, and the team counted their chickens before they hatched.

You had the BCS all wrapped up, didn’t ya ?

I told you that LSU would handle you up front ITK , and that would be the difference…You laughed. Who is laughing now ?

Bama is not that good this year. Sorry. Expect a t-total ass kicking in the Iron Bowl.

    Come Black Friday come….

    No BCS championship……..

    No SEC WEST championship…….

    No STATE championship…….

You will be lucky to be 9-3 because Miss. St. can beat you. Seriously….In that case you will be 8-4…..Because Auburn will castrate Saban and co. at Bryant Denny.

My My how the worm has turned.

Now, since Bama is completely irrelevent, let’s focus entirely on Cam Newton….Or, my spelling.

But, I really don’t expect you to be here for a while….You probably have some “great business deals” to suddenly have to take care of….Right ?

Well, we may not be able to do anything significant on the national level, but we can damn sure still win the State Championship from the #1 football state in the nation. The 10 point difference between Bama, LSU and Aubie is not much, especially when Black Friday is in our house. It will be easier on you guys if we beat you anyway. I saw 3 teams Saturday that are better than Aubie. What if Oregon gets upset? Aubie do you want to be the first team ever to get bitch slapped by Boise State or TCU in the BCSNCG? Even I would hate to see that, not to mention the dignity of the whole SEC would be a laughingstock for years to come. As for Bama, I’m sick of this team playing not to lose instead of to win. You can do that when you have the #1 defense in the nation. But this defense gave up 21 second half points to the worst offense in the SEC, and our offensive line to put it mildly just phucking sucks. The nations 2 best RB’s have not had a game winning performance since Arkansas, and untimely QB sacks have just killed us in both losses. McElroy’s fumble was not his fault. Warmack may as well have been taking a lunch break on that play as his man was in the backfield almost as soon as the ball was. The officials did miss a horrible pass interference call when #17 mugged Julio on 3rd down as we were driving. But the game shouldn’t have hinged on that play. It was simply an uninspired performance that should have been put out of reach in the first half. I’m completely disappointed in the attitudes of too many of this teams players who have brought down the whole team. Two more performances like that one and we’ll be playing in Or-phucking-lando at Christmas. I will say that I was thrilled with Julio who made Peterson look like a bumbling fool though. RTR!

I’ll agree we had the most conservative gameplan since USCjr. I think there was like three Wildcats, all runs. One Pistol. No misdirection, no screens to Ingram or Richardson, nothing new or fancy. And on the last punt which allowed LSWho to run out the clock, Shelly could have run to downtown Birmingham. The whole defense at the snap turned around and sprinted toward Paterson. It wasn’t just half the players who screwed the pooche, the coaching staff acted like they were stoned on Mary Jane. Makes me wonder how many of them took LSWho and the 6.5? And yet one damn play would have won it – when Maze dropped the ball after he beat Patterson.
